Eat before fill?
I agree that empty is the way to go. If you have anything in your pouch or stomach you won't get an accurate reaction to the adjustment. Best wishes, you will do fine. Mimi

Do I need a little unfill?
TN, I am so glad you are feeling better!!! Mimi

Do I need a little unfill?
Sweetbean, how is it doing now? Mimi

Is my 3rd fill too much??
I am very tight like you and keep thinking I need a little unfill but I am also afraid they will take out too much. Play it by ear and if you start barfing or losing wt faster than you want to then call for a small unfill. Good luck, Mimi

Can't feel Port anymore????
Kind of strange, eh? Are you trying to feel it while you are standing? If so it could be a lot lower than you expect. 20 pounds is significant, congratulations!!!! Mimi

I'm at my lowest
Cocoabean and Windus both said what I was going to say. You are losing the targetted amount while still having good meals. Best wishes, Mimi

In the 120's!
I am very happy for you!!! I am a bit short of 5' and feel great at 129/130. I lost a bit more for wiggle room during maintenance but decided if I regain to 129 ish than I would be OK with that. Best wishes, Mimi

Do you think I need another fill?
What are the scales saying? If you are losing 1-2 pounds a week I would hold off on a fill until you have mastered eating at this fill. Just an opinion. Good luck, Mimi

3 months out
I love my trainer, she is supportive and encouraging and I know I can eat more calories after she has worked me out, LOL!!! If my wt changes by 2 or 3 pounds we discuss my diet and exercise and expectations and work out a plan. I wish you the best, Mimi

Happy Bandiversary to Me!
I am so happy for your success. And BTrieger's picture of the HB is incredible!!!! Mimi

3 months out
Mary, there is no reason for you to regain your wt if you maintain your exercise and calories. Not to put down your trainer but that is old school thinking. That being said, I hve been working maintenance for a few months and have to say it is easy to get complacent and backslide.....but continuing to journal my calories and keep up my exercise has helped me grow through this phase of the lapband journey. Best wishes, Mimi

Band removed/gastric sleeve 7/6
Thank you for your story, Ellisa. I hope your VSG serves you well. Mimi

What do you think?
They should not make you wait 3 weeks. Do what another poster did and call back and say 3 wks is unacceptable and you needed a fill at your July 1st appt and want to be worked in immediately. Be proactive and stop taking it out on yourself because it is NOT your fault!!!! Mimi

Soup, good or bad?
JennaVictoria, I am a little concerned about how tight you are.....are you considering a little unfill? Mimi

no recent fill, but Dr thinks band might suddenly be too tight?
Laura, in your thread starter post you said the pain was under your RIGHT breast. Mimi

no recent fill, but Dr thinks band might suddenly be too tight?

no recent fill, but Dr thinks band might suddenly be too tight?
I was going to suggest Gallbladder dysfunction as a possibility but my dear friend Suzanne beat me to it, LOL!!! Mimi

To date or to wait
I say if the opportunity presents itself GO FOR IT!!!!!!! Mimi

Protein powder that tastes good with water?
To me the Chocolate Truffle was odd and the Cappucino tasted fake. I like the cookies n cream best. Everybody has different tastes and you might end up pitching some before this is all done!!!! I was lucky and only ended up pitching about $75 worth. Good luck, Mimi

Soup, good or bad?
Good suggestion. It is shocking how much sodium is in many of the premade soups and food. That is one of the reasons I like to make my own. Mimi

Soup, good or bad?
I eat soup quite often, both home made and store bought. Like other bandsters I make sure it is really thick and chunky and has lots of protein. To me it is no different than enjoying a nice cup or bowl of chili which is nice and thick, also, and recommended by most nutritionists, etc. Mimi

I need help getting my big butt back on the wagon.
Why wait so long for a fill? Don't put it off thinking to lose wt BRFORE the fill. You need what the band can offer and when you get some decent restriction you will start losing again and feel better. You have done well so far and just took a break. The beauty of the band is that it is there waiting for you. Best wishes, Mimi
