  1. Claire, I had my .15 unfill yesterday and all of a sudden today I realized I am not refluxing or having even 1/2 the amount of stomach acid burning that I have been living with since my last fill. I don't seem to be excessively hungry, either, and am looking forward to not relying on high calorie slider food. I wish that you didn't have to wait 2 more weeks for relief. Best wishes, Mimi
  2. Excellent question....it could go either way but usually they won't let you leave until you can keep down water. Good luck, Mimi
  3. I had a consult today about moving the port and converting to a low profile and it is insanely expensive. If my insurance (Tricare Standard) won't help pay for it I will have to put up with my Alien protruding from my midriff. I am saving my $$ for a thigh lift which I need even more than the port. If I wear a one piece foundation garment Alien doesn't show, much at all. The doctor was a little miffed that I didn't call him when I had my TT, he said that was the ideal time to change over. Mimi
  4. Good question....I was told they don't cover it under any circumstances. Now thaT IS NOT TO SAY THAT THERE AREN'T SOME mILITARY hOSPITALS DOING IT, JUST NOT UNDER tRICARE. Sorry for the caps, my finger slipped and I didn't want to retype. Mimi
  5. You are doing so well!!!! Good job on changing your Avatar...that is a positive affirmation!!! Mimi
  6. I had it done in Jan of this year and I am fairly pleased, also. I can't take as good of pictures as SH can, though. I don't know how to turn my flash off, but my results are very similar to hers, adjusting for our age discrepancy, LOL. I am NOT sorry I had it done. Best wishes. Mimi
  7. SIL, you are looking great and I like your idea of a bike....the other thing until the poster loses a lot more wt is just walking while holding light handwts. Good luck, Harliquinn, Mimi
  8. I agree with LM, please go back and get a small unfill. You have waited long enough to see if it is temporary swelling. Best wishes, Mimi
  9. I wish I had gone home!!!!! No one ever came to help me go to the bathroom with my IV and they didn't give me pain relievers when it was time and I asked for them. Mimi
  10. Interesting question!!!!! It doesn't stop the mental craving/desire for food, but it certainly limits how much you can eat at one time of non slider food. Slider food would be like chips/dip, milkshakes, ice cream, sugary drinks, stuff like that. Mimi
  11. Best wishes on restarting your journey. I am glad you have the band to help you. I understand your ice cream love....I ate a huge amount yesterday, then realized what I had done and made a vow to stick to buying small quantities....notice I didn't say I vowed to never have it again!!!!!! Mimi
  12. Like SueHam, I am thinking about my thighs getting worked on and have already had arms, breasts, and simple Tummy tuck done. I agree with SH about the minimal pain. I just had my under eyes done and they hurt the worst and were the smallest job!!!! Don't live with that jelly belly, you deserve a nice little belly after all your hard work. Mimi
  13. Keep soaking it several times a day and using a bandaid with antibiotic ointment. Try to see you doc early in the week, that way if it is infected you will be on antibiotics for long enough pre-op for it to probably be a non issue. Good luck, Mimi
  14. YIPPEE!!!! You have done very well and I know you will continue! Mimi
  15. I have the same problem and am so tired of the burning. I have an appt Thursday to discuss moving my port and changing to a low profile and will tell him I want a small unfill to see if that will help the burning. Good luck, Mimi
  16. Congratulations on your wonder wt loss....that is nothing to sneeze at!!!! It does sound like you could put off your Sept fill for a while....it sure does get expensive. The scarring will fade a lot...there is some kind of cold laser treatment I am having done on my arm scars and if it works well I may think about my belly scar. I would rather have the scars than the extra skin, for sure!!!! Good luck on your last few pounds!!!! Mimi
  17. I am always tickled when our group posts!!!! You have both done so well. I have had several plastic surgeries to correct my "hanging chads", LOL, and need more. There should be insurance for PS for major wt loss ppl because it is reconstructive not just "cosmetic". Those batwings are HEAVY!!!!!! I am a little overfilled and have reflux issues but am afraid my over zealous doc will take out too much when I go next week. I am consulting with him for port relocation and changing to a low profile port. I look like an alien head is fixing to pop out of my mid-section. I am still working on my "head" vision of myself...when ppl refer to me as tiny a get kind of self derogatory!!! I hope many more 10/08 ppl post. Mimi
  18. It is not the end of the world, you can always pick up where you left off. I have to admit, sometimes it is just boring to work the band and a little break is what is needed. Please don't go in shamefaced like the doctor is your parent or judge/jury. You took a break and now you are ready to engage again. In days gone by you probably would have gained even more and not had this tool to help you!!!! Keep reading and posting. Best wishes, Mimi
  19. I drink about 5 mugs a day plus 4 mugs of tea.....I tell myself I am drinking to obtain the good anti oxidents, LOL!!!! Mimi
  20. I have Tricare Standard in the South Region and fills have been covered on a cost share basis for almost 2 years. Mimi
  21. You made a wise and proactive decision...congratulations. Mimi
  22. Whoo Hoo, you go, girl!!!!! Mimi
  23. Your posts tickle me....I can't imagine forgetting to eat!!!! Mimi
