  1. You have done so well...your figure is great....where is your port? I couldn't see it! I am glad you are OK and not seriously hurt. Best wishes. Mimi
  2. Fanny, it is nice to know you are around and doing well. I always enjoyed your posts. Good luck with your tweaks! Mimi
  3. I agree that you should only go to your lap band doc for stomach problems. I wouldn't let any non band doc scope me. Persist with your LB doc. Mimi
  4. I don't understand the no shower for 2 wks...I was allowed to shower in 2 days!!! Mimi
  5. I have a low pain tolerance and didn't take but 3 pain pills and I didn't really need them!!!!! I am happy for you that you are scheduled for this. Mimi
  6. Lellow I am so insanely happy for you!!!! You will love love love your new chest and the tattoo was a superb idea. Enjoy your vacation!!!! Mimi
  7. Since you are tolerating liquids you will be OK to wait and see over the weekend. If you can't tolerate anything but liquids by Monday I would ask for a small unfill, The great thing about the band is if you get a little unfill and later in a few weeks start getting hungry etc, you can always get another fill. Good luck, Mimi
  8. I, too, an sorry for your loss. Can you convert to a vertical gastric sleeve? Do you have any idea why your band caused erosion? Mimi
  9. Nope, I do sit ups and crunches and other core work 3 days a week and it is OK. Mimi
  10. I just added water but it really foams alot if you use a blender or shaker. Mimi
  11. I am shocked at your doctor's actions and hope you will let us know how things develop as you start eating food. No one is attacking you personally, by the way, we are just shocked that you are on slider liquids and up to nearly max on your fills. Best wishes, Mimi
  12. Yes you can, I am sure. But it will taste NASTY!!!! Mimi
  13. The first thing to do is to always keep an Rx for Phenergan or Zofran or the like in your cabinet. It was probably the violent vomitting that helped your band slip. I wish you the best, you have done so well with your wt loss, I can understand your concerns about life w/o the band. Mimi
  14. I have experienced what you are describing and I believe a small unfill is going to help...even .2 or .15 just might take you to the sweet spot. Please post after your decision and dr visit. Mimi
  15. Mine didn't do lipo and I have no waist line...I am square, rectangular really. I paid for a TT and got a panniculectomy.....as you can imagine, I am not thrilled with the PS!! Mimi
  16. Well, unless you are overly filled I wouldn't get an unfill for an endless food buffet cruise. Just my opinion, though. Many poster's have done cruises both ways, so you have to pick which is right for you. By the way, congratulations on your 30 pound loss...you are right on track averaging 1-2 pounds a week. It stinks that your port was so difficult to access. Best wishes and happy cruising, Mimi
  17. Thanks for the update. That was a nice reasonable fill. Congratulations on your 10 pound loss, especially since you thought you were going on a plateau!!!! Mimi
  18. Does anyone use a kettlebell in their workout? A few months ago it was all the rage, now I don't hear much about it. I had a workout with one yesterday and it was good and made me sweat!! Mimi
  19. Thanks for the info, Talome, it was kind of you. Price point sticker shock is different for everyone and it doesn't happen to bother me. Mimi
  20. Cindy has some very very good points.Maintenance is hard work, but Angel, you have been doing maintenance so you can easily figure out how many cals you have been eating and burning and then make very modest adjustments to start losing, IF that is what you decide to do. Being "thin" is not for everyone and if you are healthy and happy, stay where you are. The great thing about the band is that it is there for you whenever you want its help. I congratulate you on your loss and maintenance and wish you well. Mimi
  21. I am lost...what are you referring to? Mimi
  22. I paid for a TT but ended up with a paniculectomy...Darn PS said he couldn't tighten my muscles because of my port. Jerk. I am a lot older than you and my skin is saggy in the midriff but the tummy itself is GONE, so that is a big YIPPEE!!! Good luck, Mimi
