exercises i can do at home?

im 273 pounds, i have a bad knee and i physically lack the ability to sweat (i get terribly overheated, turn red and pass out. its a genetic issue, my mum is the same way). what are some exercises i can do at home? the gym is usually terribly packed during the day and id like something i can do here at home. at the gym i usually do about 10 minutes on the treadmill...after that im about ready to die. if i can stand it, i do a little weight lifting before i head home.

ideas?

SO been enjoying the kids Wii fit! fun - easy - and exercise too!

hi i started off on my stationary bike. 15 minutes each.then the nutritionist told me to do before surgery try 45-30 minutes.i lost 40lbs before surgery.you could shop around at a thrift shop.or a tag sale for one.sometimes kmart have them on sale.after a year later i am still riding.while riding i watch tv or do word fine.keeps me going.

SIL, you are looking great and I like your idea of a bike....the other thing until the poster loses a lot more wt is just walking while holding light handwts.

Good luck, Harliquinn,

Mimi

Could you try swimming? And it does'nt even have to be swimming it could be water walking. I find cardio workouts to be a lot harder for me than swimming.

unfortunately i really cant afford a game system. i fail at games anyway.

Too much self defeating failure talk! You simply must get into a better frame of mind. Set small goals and when you achieve them it will help to build confidence - then increase the challenge. If you fail, then try harder the next week. You CAN do this! Do not let that little voice in your head defeat you!

Continually increase the challenges and soon enuff the things you did a few weeks ago will become very easy.

Good luck!

Brad

You can do yoga. It is the best excersize for you coz it makes your body flexible.
