Now that I am banded it all seems so easy of an operation. I did slep in the recliner in the hotel the first and scond day but now it is easy in and out of the bed. I have been walking fo at least 30minutes a day and in Cold Ass Terrible weather in Boston.. Does Boston know that this is supposed to be spring? Rain, cold, shootings, etc..... I do have a concern as I seem to have a terrible taste in my mouth. I brush, mouthwash etc but still have that taste. Any suggestings on breathe fresheners?

I am Bandedas og May 11, 2006!!!!! Arrived in Boston and relaxed two day. Met my Doctor and office staff and the pre op testing etc. The next day was surgery and then a post op visit yesterday and flew back today. I did it with no problems at all. Everything went like clock work. The surgery was about an hour long. I did not evn have to stay over night. I was I feel like I did a thousand sit ups that is all. No , port pain either. I have been on protein shakes and yogurt, broth and will continue until I am 2 weeks post op and get mu first fill. I do not feel and restriction. I have the Vanguard Band!!

:update: Attention all MAY 2006 BAND CREW!!!!!!!!!!!!:update: :gluck: I would like to thank you all for all the support and information on the surgery. As I am scheduled for May 9th in Boston I have to pack my clothes tonight and fly there tomorrow:Banane15: . I will have Sunday to relax and Monday pre op in the doctors office and then Tuesday afternoon surgery. I will not be back to the country I work until Saturday 13th or Sunday 14th so I wish all the rest of the "CREW" to hang in there and be strong.!!! Ok Kim, But what stops the fluid from running out of the tube? There is not a cap on it, it is punctured when the needle goes in?

:help: Hello All, I have been on here a couple of months and I do not know how the port works. Ok they give you a needle for a fill. What stops the fluid from running back out of the port an into your body .:grouphug: ....

Susan, Just asking as I have to take a flight back after my surgery....You are having different sensations with the band? I could use a few more sensations in my life..lol!!!

SleepyJean, This is a big step for your new beginning. All will be well and I will be thinking of you tomorrow and all the May 1st people. I just had some ice cream and will have some Chinese food tonight as of tomorrow I have to go on all liquids until I am able to have food again which will be a few weeks away. I have already made my protein drink for breakfast and work tomorrow. I will be drowning myself in the Crystal Light until further notice. As this month comes to a conclusion I feel only happiness towards the venture we are all taking together. How is everyone else feeling? Did all of your pre op shopping?

Wow it is almost May and I wish I had the time to put every " May band Crew" schedule all on on post. I know our month has really grown alot over the past few weeks. Where are all the first week in my banders?

Womanwithin, I am so sorry to read about your situation.I hope that you find a quick solution to the delay issue. Yes, you must keep us all posted and in a couple of weeks I will be able to share my story with you all. Please remain positive and keep trying to lose weight and do not let this take you down.. The Isopure has zero carbs and 50 grams of protein 200 calories and 0 sugars and lots of other vitamins. The carb watchers from Labrada has 43 grams of protein and 230 calories and 12 carbs and vitamins I personally think we will need the beverages that have high protein for healing. We need to get the most protein possible especially post surgery. Both of these products I bought in the powder form...

Well just got back from the store, purchased 3lbs Strawberries n cream Zero carb Isopure Protein and some Dutch Chocolate Lean Body meal replacement shake powder (20 packets)by Labrada. Where I live it cost me 140.00 usd,. I will purchase more when I get to the states but wanted some in the house. I am starting the meal replacement on Monday the 1st!!!! Wow next week this time I will be at the airport on the way to the states. Whoaaaaaaaaaaaa!!

Hello, I am getting banded in Boston as my insurance is paying 100 percent ..I might as well go fo it in the states...Also my insurance company and I were getting terrible service from the offices in Monterrey.
