  1. Hi Leopardlady, Congratulation on your date. I just had my surgery this past Wednesday, so I am two days post op. I have no regrets, and hopefully won't have any. My stomach is swollen from the gas they put in you and I have diarrea, which I just got a prescription from the doctor to help with it. Again congratulations, Maggies:shades_smile:
  2. When I make my protein drinks (Isopure) I just use water. I also have EAS protein shakes. I can burb, but sometimes have a problem with it. We just need to take it one day at a time and we feel better before long. Maggies:shades_smile:
  3. Thanks a lot. I kinda thought I don't have anything in me, so where is it coming from. Oh well, I am just going to get in as many fluids as I can. I am on liquids for 10 days, and then full liquids for ten. Thanks again for your help. Maggies
  4. Thanks so much for your quick reply. You made me feel better about it, because I haven't found much about it on here. Did your stomach growl a lt and could you feel the rumblings? Wow, dumb questions. Thanks again, Maggies:shades_smile:
  5. I had my surgery on the 2 days ago on the 29th. Has anybody else had diarrea? That is my biggest problem since surgery. My stomach is still swollen from the gas and I guess the trauma from surgery. But all in all I'm doing OK, nothing I didn't expect with exception of the diarrea. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Maggies:shades_smile:
  6. Sorry to hear that you are not feeling to good. I was prepared for all of the pain so it didn't surprice me. It will get better every day. I have a lot of gas also so I just need to work it out of me. Plus I have diarrea, which is not fun. My surgeon told me to stay on liquids for ten days, the only exception is I can add protein shakes tomorrow. And then 10 days of full liquids. He said any kind of food now could damage your band. He has did several thousand of these. Hope we all feel better soon. Maggie:shades_smile:
  7. Looks like we are all to a good start with our bands. Has anybody heard from Wvagirl yet. Maggies:shades_smile:
  8. I had my surgery 10/29 and I now have diarrera. I'm calling my doctor in the morning to see what I can do for it. I have been farting a lot, and a few times I had to run to the bathroom or it would have been a mess. I know this sounds gross but we all do it. Hope you find the cure for your constipation. Hi Restless, how have you been doing. Are you still losing weight good? I am not going to weigh myself until next Wednesday. Maggie:shades_smile:
  9. Karina, I feel so bad for you, its just not fair. Have you talked to Mrs. Frazier at Travis? She should be able to get you in their next class and since you have most of the testing done it should be pretty quick. I seem to have diarrea now which isn't much fun. So far I don't have the hurting shoulder, just my stomach is very swollen with gas. And of course my throat feels a little sore from the tubes they put down it during surgery. But all in all, I feel good and do not regret having it done. I tried to eat some sugar free Jello, but I got a very full feeling from it. I will be lucky if I get 36 oz. of Water in me. Let me know if you have talked to Mrs. Frazier. Maggie:shades_smile:
  10. I'm home to. Went to my son's yesterday when they released me and then made the long trip home today. I feel pretty good.. Trying to get the gas out of me. My stomach is sore but pain meds help a lot. I have not had one ounce of regret. Maggies
  11. I am in bandland finally. Had my surgery yesterday, and went to my sons to spend the nite afterwards and made the trip home today. I am feeling preet good and am sure easch day will bring more relief. Maggies:shades_smile:
  12. Hi everybody, I am home also. Keep walking Tomatogirl. I just got home about an hour ago. I got out of the hospital about 6pm and went to my sons to spend the nite and then we drove home today. All went well, looks like I have 4 incisions. I'm not going to weigh myself untill next Wednesday. I need to get rid of the bags of Fluid and gas/air they used. Karina, Travis doesnt require a medical problem. At least they never said it to me. And I know for a fact that they had a lot of people that was in my group go have it somewhere else because one of the surgeons was out on maternity leave and they had to be poseponed. And I'm about 95% sure they dont go thru Tricare. So keep trying. Maggies:shades_smile:
  13. Karina, I am so sorry. Do you know yet why you were denied again? I'm pretty sure Tricare has nothing to do with Travis or any military hospital. You need a BMI of over 40 and you should'nt have a problem. Call and talk to Mrs. Frazier in the General Surgery unit. That would be a good starting point for you. Let me know how it goes. Maggie:shades_smile:
  14. Wvagal, How are you feeling on the clear liquid diet. I am starved. But since I know I have no choice I'm doing it. I'm anxious to see how after surgery before I can start mushies. If I don't get back on this evening, Good luck to everyone....Maggie:shades_smile:
  15. Karina, any news yet? Got my fingers crossed for you. Maggies Tomatogirl, I am hopefully going home the same day also, at least that is the plan. I'm hungry!!!!!!!!! Maggies
  16. I'm just drinking water and propel vitamin water. Try to stay busy and you won't think about eating. Its hard when every where you look its calling to you. I'm leaving here tomorrow morning at 7am so I won't be back on until after my surgery. Wow, its hard to believe it is here. Maggie:shades_smile:
  17. WVgal I am on a two day clear liquid diet also, and not liking it. I have lost 8lbs. in the last few weeks because I was told I have a fatty liver and hopefully it is a little better now. I go in at 8:30am and surgery is at 11am west coast time. It is so hard to say goodby to food, but we will survive. I don't know how to start a yahoo group, maybe someone else out there????? Maggies:shades_smile:
  18. Lots of us for Oct. 29. The closer it gets the more nervous I am also. But I have waited a long time for this, so no way am I going to change my mind at the last minute. I am leaving tomorrow morning to go to my sons house in Sacramento because I have two preop appts. 2 1/2 hour drive each way. I'm not sure yet if I'm coming home after surgery or staying down there an extra day. My choice would to be come home. Lets all post as soon as we can to check up and see how everyone did. Maggie:shades_smile:
  19. 3 days and counting until bandday. Looking forward to joining all of you in bandland. I think I have everything ready, thanks to reading all of your posts. Thanks, Maggie:shades_smile:
  20. I'm having mine in Sacramento, Ca at 11am. Its is getting so close I'm getting butterflies. Monday and Tuesday I can only drink clear liquids so I'm not looking forward to that. Maggie:shades_smile:
  21. I should be close to done when you are going in. Wow, it is getting so close. Yay for all of us. Wvgal where are you? Maggie:shades_smile:
  22. Welcome Debbietx, You should be out of surgery before I even go in. Good luck to you. What is everybodys time for banding. Mine is 11am, West Coast time Maggie

  24. Cindy, Glad to here you are feeling better. I was going to play cards last nite with my daughter and her husband, but she had a little bit of a sore throat, so I stayed away. I don't want to get sick and not have my surgery on the 29th. Hope you feel better everyday. Maggie:shades_smile:
  25. Oh ya, How many fills have you had? Maggie:shades_smile:
