Viagra in his suitcase before trip
Once a liar, always a liar, Once a cheater, always a cheater. He came up with the lie about the pills in his suitcase so fast, so it sounds like he has had a lot of practice at it. Been with a liar & cheat, and they never change...Just my thoughts on this for what it is worth. And I agree you need to see a doctor for a checkup. I ended up with chalimda (sp). So think long and hard and make the right decision. You don't want to be looking over his shoulder for the next 50 years. Not fun.........I am finally FREE Maggie

Has anyone tried Alli??
I have used Alli, and when I eat food with fat I need to make sure I'm close to a bathroom. It does not suppress your appitite. It keeps you from absorbing all the fat you eat. Maggie:closedeyes:

sunnylilme, Sorry to hear about your denial. APPEAL!!!! Now I'm really worried about getting an approval. Our weight and height is to close for comfort. I also have sleep apnea. Will let you know when I find out. It should be sent to Tricare this coming week. Maggie:cool2:

Hiatal Hernia Club...
I had an Upper GI done on Tuesday and the Doctor that did it told me that I have a small Hiatal Hernia. He also said a lot of people have them, expecially as you age. I am going too ask the surgeon if he is going to repair it when he does the band. I also have no systems of having one. Maggie:cool2:

Tricare
:wink_smile:Just got back from having my Upper GI done. I thought that was the last test they wanted, but because of my age they want a Cardiolite Scan which I have scheduled for this Friday. Then it should be submitted to Tricare for APPROVAL. I have had more tests done since I started this than I have had in all my life. But better knowing if there is a problem than not. Wish me luck on a speedy approval and safe surgery. Maggie

JWRN, It is hard to say congrats on gaining but in this case it works. I think I would put some weights in my pockets to, just in case....GOOD LUCK:thumbup: Cobrien, how exciting to have your date. When, not if, mine is approved I am hoping to have it done in October. Thanks for the info on the fills. I will pass that on th the surgeons office staff. As for the preop diet at least you can eat veggies, not only drinking. I don't know what my surgeon does for pre-op. Maggie:shades_smile:

aculberg, I don't know yet if I will have any kind of preop diet. I guess I should wait to see if I'm approved to worry about that. The closer it gets to being submitted to Tricare the more I worry about it. Maggie:cool2:

Tricare
Karina, Sounds like you need to gain a few more pounds to be where Tricare will approve you. That is a sad situation because that is what everybody would do, so they should give it to everybody that is that close. At my group meeting yesterday a woman there said she had a friend that gained 60 pounds on purpose so her insurance would pay for her to be banded. Now that is SICK....... But if you are within 10, you should be approved. I have an upper gi appt. on Sept. 2nd. then the surgeon will submit to Tricare for approval. I am very nervous about being turned down because Tricare has paid out so much on me in the last year. Broke the top of my humerous in July 07, and have had 4 surgeries and it is still not healed. With the surgery I had on August 5th. being a bone graft. Today I was given a bone stimulator (ultra sound) unit that Tricare paid 3,000. for. It is mine to keep because they do not use them on more than one patient. But with that being said in all the years we have been covered by them we haven't used it much. Have a good weekend everybody. Maggie:smile:

aculberg, thanks for the info. Hopefully I will be having my surgery a week or so after yours. Going to Disneyland the middle of Sept, so not possible then. Does your surgeon require a preop diet? Maggie:cool2:

Tricare
I had my appt. with the surgeon today for the group meeting and then my appt. by myself. I only have one more test to be done and then they are going to submit to Tricare for APPROVAL. He said if approved I should be able to be banded by the first of October. I am just going to think positive thoughts. Does anyone know if Tricare requires a six month recorded diet before approval. I don't think they do, just wondering. Good luck to everyone. Karina, How are things going with you. Keep trying you will prevail. Maggie:cool2:

Tricare
Karina, are they still saying they don't have all the necessary paperwork? I would appeall as soon as possible. It sounds like Tricare is starting to deny a lot of people. Wish me luck tomorrow. It is a 2 1/2 hour drive each way so I hope I get some good news, but the way it sounds on here I may need more than luck. Karina, keep trying, you will get it in the end. maggie:thumbup:
