  1. I don't have to take iron but I do have to make sure I have something in my stomach when I take my pls. Iron can be alot. Also had my surgery the same day so If you have any meal ideas please let me know bc im struggling
  2. I'm so sorry your going through this. I also had surgery on 11/22 and then Friday after Thanksgiving was super sick. Called ambulance Saturday at like 5am and ended up being rushed into a second surgery for an internal hernia repair and a bow obstruction caused by one of my stitches popping from my bypass surgery. I need to go get my blood drawn too because my numbers are off. Co2 is low and my anion Gap and potassium are High. Our bodies went through a lot having two surgeries. Do the best you can, follow your discharge instructions and listen to your body. Goodluck!!

  6. I do know it makes you become higher risk as a bariatric patient bc I was told 2 years. I would say talk to you obgyn, Nutritionist and surgeon bc the hardest thing to do is have the baby get their nutrients. Good Luck!
  7. My surgery was Monday. Bypass and I had such a horrible stay. No iv pain meds were given , I was puking. I had to beg for anti Naseu meds through iv but they would only give me oral. Horrible experience. I'm so glad yours as better. I'm home too, I wear a binder and sleep with that on. It works alot.
  8. Yes I've been drinking water with Crystal lite but I'm thinking that gatorade will help better with my energy and electrolytes
  9. Yeah my surgeon was a d**k. No IV PAIN MEDS AT ALL. Even when I kept puking post op. They wouldn't give me iv pheblnergan for naseau, they almost gave me a med I was allergic too, its a good thing I was curious and the nurses excuse was sorry it was at the bottom of the list. Like Wtf ?. Now I'm just trying to get my fluids in ???‍♀️?‍♀️ if there is any complications there is 1 other hospital near me where the surgery is done and I'll go there instead. F*** that. And to be fair I don't like this hospital either bc they've also tried to give me meds that I'm allergic to and sent me home with a gallbladder issue that was taken out 2 days after that visit ? so that says alot
  10. I was told if I get celebrate 60 I don't need the iron , b12 or thiamin it's in the pill but I still need calcium. The one I bought seems to come the closest.
  11. My surgery experience has sucked so bad. No IV pain meds. Exhausted, and now home day 4. Surgery was Monday. I tried calling my doc about my vitamins and he pretty much blew me off. I had such a negative experience that I will not be returning to him If I have any issues, ill go to the other hospital that does these surgeries. My DOCS A pos. I'm also having trouble why are we drinking broth. Is it because it helps towards out water intake on top of our shakes. Bc it holds no protein. Anyone tell me if these vitamins are correct Sent from my SM-F926U using BariatricPal mobile app
