  1. Hi there I had the same fears here..But while getting my work up to get approved for this procedure I found out I was pre-diabetic had Gerd and my preop scope found an ulcer that I was unaware of. i feel like this was my wake up call . And this procedure could improve my health. I feel that the benefits outweigh the risks.
  2. I know coffee is not allowed immediately after a gastric bypass but can you eventually reintroduce coffee back.Into your diet?
  3. I have also been feeling very overwhelmed lately about the surgery and the reality of what you can and can’t eat afterwards. The dumping syndrome also sounds horrible but I’m guessing it helps to keep you on track....I have to admit Although my procedure isn’t until April 28th I’ve been very lenient on my diet vs following the dietitians 1200 calories a day ..my preop diet begins 10 days prior to my surgery...And it is reassuring to know that i will be able to still eat some normal things in the future but just very small amounts...
  4. Thanks for all the advice it’s good to know that you should pack light! I also like the idea of packing some body wipes along with some mouth spray and chapstick...
  5. I completely agree! I’ve also read that many people go thru remorse after surgery ..So I’m trying to stay very positive here...i found out that I had several comorbidities prior to my approval for surgery so that keeps me grounded. I’m doing this for me and my health. It’s just very easy to second guess yourself as the surgery date gets closer!
  6. Good luck to everyone! April 28th here...
  7. I’m scheduled for a gastric bypass on April 28th does anyone have any advice on things you can. Do to better prepare for the hospital stay?
  8. Does anyone have any advice on a good vitamins to take post op the gastric. Bypass that may help prevent hair loss?
  9. I’m hoping this is a normal feeling as it’s taken nearly 6 months to get to this point!
  10. Is anyone close to there surgery date experiencing any anxiety or second thoughts on getting the procedure?
