  1. My fiance and I did a movie marathon and a game night pretty much every night
  2. Are you drinking the premier protein shakes? Sometimes you can freeze those and they're almost like ice cream and they technically are still liquid
  3. Just looking to see if I have any surgery birthdays out there. it would be so cool to compare and see where we started out at and where we're at now
  4. But I do know that in the past two years since surgery I have eaten pizza and been able to eat it like I used to. But some foods like scrambled eggs or sausages or chicken if it's too dry I can only do a bite or two and I'm sick
  5. I've been eating healthy but I still don't understand how my new stomach works.
  6. Lol well I haven't eaten that way recently but I do know my from before how my stomach works.
  7. The pre-op liquid diet wasn't so bad for me it was the post-op liquid diet and all the mental hunger where I struggled and I was on a liquid diet for 5 weeks total. Most people are on it for two to three weeks. But my surgeon was very strict
  8. I should also mention that we had two separate surgeries. I had the duodenal switch surgery and my fiance had the gastric sleeve. I had very few medical complications pre-op and he had a lot of medical complications pre-op so every surgery is different.
  9. Just make sure you have a good surgeon you trust. There are risks with any surgery my fiance and I learned that the hard way that anything can happen. But if you have a good surgeon everything will go great. My surgery was flawless. My fiance's was not and he passed away. Sometimes things do happen but most of the time these surgeries go off without a hitch.
  10. why is it that certain foods I can take a couple bites of and feel extremely sick and full and other things like pizza I can still eat half of by myself?
  11. He had a bad gallbladder and two hernias and had had a previous exploratory surgery on his abdomen and the sleeve on top of all that
  12. Thank you he actually passed away four months after his gastric sleeve from complications of the surgery. But he was in rough shape pre op.
  13. Yes! I just posted about this. Head hunger sucks. My biggest triggers are boredom and stress. Then I want to still eat everything in sight
  14. Certain foods especially. Sausage. Some types of eggs.
  15. I'm not sure what it is. However if I eat first I'm okay.
  16. My fiance had the sleeve and had many problems but I believe he had a bad surgeon. He developed an abscess that got infected and blood clots in his lungs.
  17. Mine was for my wedding. I wanted to be my best self. Unfortunately my fiance passed away give months before our wedding day.
  18. What was your reason for deciding on the surgery?
  19. How much weight have you lost post-op. I'm at 238 in 22 months

  21. Does anyone experience nausea when taking their vitamins in the morning and at night
  22. Does anybody experience nausea when eating first thing in the morning
  23. How do you guys deal with mental hunger with having a smaller stomach?
