Stalled
I feel like you mentioned the carbs because you sorta know you are having too many. Have you been logging them? Everyone’s plan is different, though. Mine didn’t really limit carbs specifically but in order to get In Enough protein there almost wasn’t room for alot of them. As long as you are sticking to your plan it’s probably just a stall which will break on its own but if you are having like a lot a lot of carbs this is definitely something you could consider cutting back on.

When can I eat pizza toppings or cauliflower pizza again?
Aha. That could work. And it would be an even quicker dinner prep. I guess you don’t have much to lose by trying since it’s garbage otherwise.

When can I eat pizza toppings or cauliflower pizza again?
Let us know how it goes. I think the trick will be figuring out how to cook it. Do you cook it from frozen or let it thaw? And what time and temp if it’s frozen. May be better to just waste it??

Plastic surgeon in Houston TX?
Ooh if it’s in another state they may not know anyone (but still worth a shot). You could also try a local weight loss surgery clinic that is reputable. I’m guessing they would be willing to share a name if you ask nicely. At least then you will have a couple names of people with experience with the surgery you want and then you can do your research from there.

I definitely would go for the one with more practice with your particular surgery. I had a melanoma removed by an excellent boob guy and was very dissatisfied with what he did for me.

Plastic surgeon in Houston TX?
Great idea. And Even of you aren’t still going there routinely I bet they would give you a name and number. Especially as a former patient.

When can I eat pizza toppings or cauliflower pizza again?
I looked online and can only find the original at my store but I can check the others. Even the thicker one is 150 calories/ 25g carbs per serving. That’s not too bad. I had to convert the calories for the other one cause it’s a smaller serving but it’s 127.5 calories and more carbs (I didn’t calculate) and way less protein for the same slice. And the real one has less fat too. Wow. You were right that cauliflower stuff really isn’t what it’s cracked up to be. At least not that brand. I am so glad you pointed that out to me. I mean the cauliflower crust is not bad but it’s not the real deal. I’d much rather have that in moderation. Especially now that I know it’s really better for me.

Plastic surgeon in Houston TX?
I don’t have any recommendations for a specific doctor but maybe consider narrowing it down by ones that have a lot of experience working with weight loss patients?? Maybe ask them how many times they have performed that surgery on someone like you?

When can I eat pizza toppings or cauliflower pizza again?
Hummmm. I’ll have to try it and see if my hubby likes it too. Otherwise I would be wasting a lot cause it’s just the two of us. With the cauliflower crust it’s frozen so I can cut one slice while it’s still frozen and cook just that portion. He likes thin crust though, so hopefully he will like it.

6 month follow up
You are 18 days out, correct? How close are you to your fluid goal? Getting your fluids is very important but so is getting your sleep. Have you tried putting a glass of water on your nightstand and drinking when you wake up through the night. I started this cause I always wake up with dry mouth years ago but I get in another glass or two. I have noticed that it makes me wake up like one more time to pee but I drink more then, too so it works out. I agree that the support group meetings are very helpful. You shouldn’t need to do anything with social media if you don’t want. That’s usually just an alternative to attending the in person meetings.

Unhappy with bariatric surgery 1 year later
Sleeve me alone covered a lot. Gave some really Great advice. I just want to add congratulations on your loss!! It sounds like you are keeping it off too in spite of your hunger coming back. I am a year and a half out and struggling a bit with regain so I know that is not an easy task. Also, 113 pounds is a pretty significant loss, if the extra skin is bad (as in causing you medical issues) your insurance may cover some plastic surgery as medically necessary. I’m not certain because you have to meet certain criteria based on your insurance but if you didn’t know it’s possible it could be covered in some instances. If you are interested in that option you may want to ask your team if you would qualify. From what I understand for some insurance you have to document it rubbing and rashes and stuff but with others it just has to hang down a certain amount to qualify as medically necessary.

When can I eat pizza toppings or cauliflower pizza again?
Okay so i mentioned the cauliflower pizza bowl by lean cuisine and I had to try it. Just came out of the microwave and it sure smells good. It’s 430 calories which is a bit much for a lunch for me. I am in maintenance and like to keep my lunch around 300 calories or less. This Has 22g protein, BUT 30g fat so definitely not an all the time option for my plan (18g carbs). I will have a lighter dinner to offset some. I have to admit it’s a little greasier than I expected. I guess pizza is too though so duh, lol. It tastes pretty yummy, I’m just hoping it doesn’t upset my stomach since I’m not used to all this grease. I have been eating between typing this and honestly I think I am satisfied with about half of it. Not because it’s a huge portion but because it’s so rich with the grease. (At a year and a half out, I usually can eat almost one serving of most things) if I can get two servings out of it I guess it’s not too horrible. I think I will keep one in the freezer for when I’m really craving pizza or when my husband decides he wants a pizza on game day which thankfully isn’t too often. I am thinking I also may try at some point to make my own version of this with Turkey pepperoni and see if it’s any good??

people treating you different
Maybe if you’re oblivious to it you’re better off to stay that way. But you will probably still notice it when you get closer to goal especially with men. All of a sudden men are all chivalrous Like lifting stuff into your cart for you or opening doors for you…stuff like that.

When can I eat pizza toppings or cauliflower pizza again?
Well this is not the cauliflower crust. It is a bowl with all the pizza toppings but it has actual cauliflower in it kinda as a filler I guess. Now you do have me curious about the cauliflower crust. I can’t remember if I ever really compared it to regular or just tried it cause someone told me to. Lol

c-section vs sleeve
I have not had a c section but have had a larger incision maybe half that size on my back from a melonoma they claimed was not where it was on the scan?? Anyways, From my experience the incision pain was night and day with the sleeve being much less. I assumed that was just because of size of the incision. My longest scar from the sleeve is barely an inch and I didn’t get that pulling feeling as they were trying to heal. I somehow dodged the gas pain though so I really can’t speak to that but in terms of incision pain I’m guessing if your survived a c section you can definitely deal with this.

I have never had Hiccups this often!!!
Are you sure you are chewing well enough and not eating too fast. They can occur more often because of those things. For some people that is actually their full cue.

pre op appointment
Well I guess there is always gonna be some risk short of putting you and your team in isolation for weeks before the surgery but cutting your exposure lessened the risk quite a bit. I am guessing that’s the point. It’s Interesting to see what the precautions are for COVID for the different parts of the world. I didn’t even have a COVID test. And I was told I didn’t need a mask in my hospital room either. I wore one cause I didn’t want to do COVID while recovering from surgery but that was my choice. Everyone else wore one so I was probably just fine realistically but It made me feel better.
