  1. So sorry that your secret was let out before you were ready. Hopefully people will be really supportive and it won’t matter. Try not to let it take away from today. It’s the start of a life changing journey and you should enjoy every day of it. Good luck in a couple hours. Let us know how you are doing as soon as you feel up to it.
  2. Ha. I needed that chuckle. ?
  3. So what do you do with your hummus? Just eat it with a spoon?? I tried that and I didn’t like it.
  4. Aha. That’s a great idea. Thank you.
  5. I wonder why they add sugar to one and not the other. They are both hazelnut?? Man I threw out my coffee pot. Is there sugar In the regular coffee k cups that don’t have flavors too?? I really don’t need the flavor. I add enough Splenda to make it sweet. I just bought those cause they had them in stock in a small quantity box of k cups.
  6. Wow!! 70 calories!! No wonder it’s so good.
  7. Everyone’s nutritionist has different rules. Mine didn’t go into any amount of carbs that are okay or not okay but they said to try to stay away from them. I have mostly just gone by calories to be honest but I don’t have alot of carbs at all. Only in fruit/smoothies but that’s all natural sugar.
  8. The one I got at Walmart is called Dippers by Stonefire. It’s 150 calories for 5 pieces. I had 2.5 pieces (yes I actually cut one in half. Lol) with hummus and I was satisfied. I am just wondering if the calories are higher cause of the protein?? I have been eating my hummus with Stacy’s pita thins and those have 130 calories per serving but I usually only have three or four chips vs 13 per serving since a serving of hummus is only two tablespoons so I figured it’s not too bad. I still cannot eyeball exactly the 2 tbsp either but I ordered one ounce cups on Amazon to measure my hummus and salad dressing. I’m still trying. Lol
  9. Apparently this is not new but I just seen it at Starbucks in their protein meal so I looked into it a bit and the calories and carbs seem comparable to regular bread but it has 4g protein and 3g fiber in a serving. I don’t have any regular bread to compare but I don’t recall it having protein. Just wondering what others think about it. I had to try it but I only ate half a serving with some hummus and that was more than enough. It’s pretty filling. It tastes delicious.
  10. Don’t need it now but good to know. Thanks.
  11. Definitely try it. I don’t even have to drink my protein anymore but have come to like my morning latte so at over a year out I still have it. It does have caffeine though.
  12. I did call the 877 number for Walmart and they said they were going to ask the supplier and get back to me about the calories. I just figured maybe someone had some idea.
  13. Hummmm. Those look good and calories seem okay. I get 30 grams for 160 calories with the caffe latte by premiere protein. I drink that every morning for breakfast.
  14. Yea I’m not a big coffee fan but I like iced coffee. I use so much Splenda in it that it doesn’t matter what brand coffee I buy. I like it with almond milk and Splenda and was thinking that’s a pretty low calorie treat but now that I have it home and I think about it the flavored one may have some calories??
  15. It’s just the Walmart brand medium roast hazelnut coffee. K cups
  16. And yet another.
  17. Here is another one.
  18. I have seen quite a few posts about people who are older asking the same question and there are definitely others out there. I did a quick search and found this thread.
  19. Ooh I’m so glad to hear it helped. I didn’t have any trouble swallowing pills but I heard of so many people did that I was prepared with a pill crusher on hand just in case. I tried it pre op with one of mine that had a coating on it to see and yes it was VERY gross but it went down at least. Things will heal and you won’t have to do it for long. Every day it’s gets a little easier than the day before.
  20. I just bought some creamy hazelnut arabica coffee and it doesn’t have any nutrition information on it. It says right on it that it’s artificially flavored though so I would assume it has to have calories in it?? Do they not have to put it on there cause it’s not “food”??
  21. That was how my soft foods stage looked as well. Some people may not tolerate the stem part of the asparagus well (not sure but that may be fibrous) but for my plan veggies were just as tolerated after soft foods. Fish was definitely on soft food though and I realized quickly that I like it alot more post surgery than I did before.
  22. You can call the pharmacy and see if you can crush any of those pills. Some of them can’t be safely crushed though so be sure to ask. But If you say the pain is “bad bad” and “excruciating” I would go to the ER. Better safe than sorry.
  23. Yes it is normal for some to not feel hungry at all and there isn’t really anything you can do about it. As someone who is over a year out and the hunger hormones have returned though, I say enjoy it while it lasts. It will never be easier to lose weight than it is for you right now. Of course you have to be sure to take care of yourself and get in your requirements which isn’t much fun when you aren’t hungry but as the pounds continue to shed that should motivate you to keep up with the plan.
  24. Yea you just have to stop when you feel satisfied if you don’t feel restriction like everyone else. It takes a while but you get used to no longer waiting for that full sensation.
  25. The liver reducing diet is not really designed to make us lose weight anyways. Some people (especially those who were already on another diet) do not lose much at all and The doctors don’t seem concerned with that. The size of the liver is all that they care about in terms of a safe surgery which is the reason for that diet.
