Is there a Multivitamin and calcium citrate over the counter?
Don’t be nervous about missing a day, as lizonaplane said it takes a while to create a deficiency. Think about it, we get stomach flus and don’t eat right for a week and we are fine. And some people can’t take their vitamins for a couple weeks post surgery and they are fine. I agree with taking something if you can’t but don’t get too stressed about it.

Coffee
As long as your allowed caffeine it should be just a matter of taste. Unless your pouch is extra fussy and doesn’t like some coffees. I like iced coffee as an afternoon pick me up which I’m sure is a little easier on the pouch than straight coffee. I drink it with Splenda and almond milk. I don’t milk except for coffee and love that almond milk has a much longer shelf life. I just tried truvia yesterday and it didn’t dissolve? I think the trick may be to dissolve it in the hot coffee before putting over ice because I have heard of plenty people using it in coffee.

Bowel Movement after Sleeve
Like catwoman said, once you do finally go many people choose to be proactive and take something everyday to keep them moving. I took benefiber (the generic powder at Walmart is much cheeper) daily until I got closer to a normal portion size and then I weaned off of it. I never had any issues after I started the fiber. Some of us have to stay on something preventative for life.

Wondering if Joinfound.com is considered medical mgmt...
It shouldn’t matter but it did for me. Even post COVID with virtual visits so it made no sense but according to the insurance coordinator they would not accept my psychologists very detailed documentation because he didn’t weigh me each month. He documented my weight but didn’t weigh me himself. I am hopping It’s different for the OP but this was my experience.

Elite sweet doughnuts.
I was hoping that they freeze well. That trick seems to work for me. If I have to defrost it I only do if I really want it. Whereas if it’s just Sitting right there I may eat more.

Where can i contact other people whose partners have had surgery
Even though you did not have surgery it sounds like you may have a form of eating disorder. Any theralpist that specializes in disordered eating should be able to help.

Wondering if Joinfound.com is considered medical mgmt...
Well I have my fingers crossed for you that it works. It’s so silly the insurance hoops anyways.

Wondering if Joinfound.com is considered medical mgmt...
Did you go somewhere to get your weight checked or just check it yourself? I say this because I had been talking about my weight with my psychologist for years and they said if he does not weigh me then it wouldn’t count. I’m only guessing that will be most companies concern. Ironically post COVID many people do their weigh ins virtually now but I still would anticipate that being an issue. Hopefully someone else has actual experience with this and can say for certain.

Elite sweet doughnuts.
Has anyone tried these protein doughnuts. I found them on Amazon?? They are pretty expensive, but… does anyone know how they figure out the net carbs? I googled it and it’s something about the sugar alcohol they use being subtracted but I’ve never heard of this.

Chips and salsa and bad eating day
Maybe try quest protein chips with your salsa. They have taco flavor that my husband loves. I like the ranch. This way your snack should actually be filling.

How long after gastric sleeve are you at risk of getting Dumping Syndrome ?
Doctors are all over the board about caffeine. Some people are never asked to quit while others are told they are not to have it again for life. Most people are told some time frame whether it’s a month or three months, etc.

2 months and 13 days post-op

Congratulations!!

Backing out
It doesn’t sound like my doubts were quite as much as yours but we all have them to some degree. I have been on here for over a year now and I have seen many posts like this and some that even cancelled their surgery. So far as I know they all ended up going through with it eventually but only you know if you are really ready. Just know that this is a major surgery and anxiety is perfectly understandable and common.

Why why why did I do this? Slow suicide.
You should be able to get a sooner appointment with the surgeon. I was told to call if I had any issues and needed to be seen sooner.

Made to 1derland today!
? congrats.

I messed up 2 weeks postoperative 20 pounds down and dropping
Maybe ring your surgeon and tell them you are struggling quite a bit and maybe they can pull some strings with the teams therapist to get you in sooner. Maybe not but it’s worth a shot. And even if the appointment is a ways away make it. You may feel better by then and cancel but you may not and will be glad you have it.

Eating and Drinking 30 Minute Rule
Idk if I should admit this but I have always drank up until I ate. At first it was on accident most times but they when it didn’t cause me any issues I just stopped trying to remember. I never really understood the rule since I have also been told that liquid goes right through. I am not saying that this is the best idea because I don’t understand the reasoning behind the rule, but…. Now afterwards I have forgot and drank and it still doesn’t hurt but I can feel that it’s heavy feeling so I assumed that’s bad.

Really this many pills!?
I had the sleeve and I just take 3 pills a day. One multivitamin and two calcium tablets. Most doctors have their own guess as to what we will be low in and it does vary from person to person so it’s best to listen to your doctor and see how your labs go.
