HealthyLifeStyle got a reaction from HeatherE in Weirdest None-Scale-Victory - I'll go first
Being able to give myself a pedicure for the 1st time in over 15 yrs.
Getting in and out of the shower without having to hold on to something because I would be afraid of falling down.
Walking around without being out of breath and having to sit down somewhere to rest.
Being able to do housework and keeping my house clean.

HealthyLifeStyle got a reaction from GreenTealael in OOTD
I am feeling this same way. I can't stop losing weight. My goal was 135 and now I am at 130. I wish I could stop but it just keeps coming off. I have gone from a size 6 down to a 4 in just a month. It feels good but bad at the same time. I am sick of buying new clothes.

HealthyLifeStyle got a reaction from lizonaplane in HELP! Were/Are you a foodie pre-surgery (or post)? Husband very worried!
I am close to 9 months out and still haven't gone out to a restaurant for fear of Covid. I am also worried about going out and not finding the right things on the menu to eat. I know most places accommodate diff diets, but I am honestly leery of it because I have my eating plan that I do everyday at home. I am very strict about the times I eat and what I eat. My husband is really pressuring me to go out somewhere. He can eat whatever he wants so he doesn't get it.

Wow good for you. I couldn't even tolerate drinking sips of Water for about 4-5 months out. It would make me feel nauseous. If you are able to drink that much at this point, I think its great.

HealthyLifeStyle got a reaction from devine12 in Eating Question
I am almost 9 months out and still have a hard time with meats. I can not eat any steak even if I cut it in tiny pieces. I am also having a hard time with chicken breast, I can eat the thighs. I can only eat the dark meat of the turkey.

HealthyLifeStyle got a reaction from KeeVSG4life in GOING BACK TO OLD HABITS
I'm not sure how you can eat that stuff so soon after the surgery. I am almost 9 months out, and still can't eat most things without feeling sick. The only advice I can give you is to think about your health. You look young, but as you get older the weight really effects your health badly. If your going to eat a lot of something, at least have it be something healthy. Ice cream was my favorite before my surgery, now when I crave it, I eat frozen yogurt instead and it satisfies me. Try to do food substitutions. I also used to eat tons of chocolate, now I will eat a small pc of dark chocolate and it makes the craving go away. Plus think of all that you went thru with the surgery and maybe that will help you push fwd. Good Luck

HealthyLifeStyle got a reaction from catwoman7 in Major Changes Are Frightening...
I am almost 9 months out. I thought I would miss a lot of things I ate almost daily such as ice cream, chocolate, etc. To be honest I don't eat or miss any of that stuff. I tried to eat a bite of a chocolate egg at Easter, and I actually spit it out because it was so sweet and made me feel sick!

HealthyLifeStyle got a reaction from CM1234 in Poop talk
For the 1st 4-5 months I was having very loose stool and going to the bathroom like 6 times a day. Now I am almost 9 months out and am extremely constipated. My doc told me to take miralax every single day, and also 3 stool softeners at night before bed. I have been doing this for a week and although my poop is coming out, I still have to strain really hard. This has given me hemorrhoids, and I have to take at least 2 sitz baths a day. It is very painful. I tried to take Metamucil but it gave me massive cramps. I drink 1/2 gallon of Water a day, eat a lot of veggies, fruit, etc. but it doesn't do anything. Doc says its because of all the Protein and Vitamins with Iron. Hopefully it gets better. There are days where I can't even sit down because it hurts so bad.

HealthyLifeStyle got a reaction from GreenTealael in Glad to be back
Hello everyone, I have been gone for approx. 2 months (I think). My hubby was diagnosed with kidney disease and I couldn't concentrate on anything except him for a while. I am glad to be back. I noticed a lot of newcomers. A lot of names I didn't recognize or am familiar with.

HealthyLifeStyle got a reaction from GreenTealael in Can't Maintain
So I reached my goal approx. 2 months ago. I went from 216 to 135 in 7 months!! Now I am down to 131 and keep losing even though I increased my Protein, carbs, etc. I still eat healthy, but I am able to eat more now. I don't know why I keep losing. I am starting to look really sickly.

HealthyLifeStyle got a reaction from SummerTimeGirl in Type 2 Diabetes
I was a severe Type 2 diabetic before the WLS. My numbers were always in the high 200's and low 300's on a daily basis. That is the main reason why the docs approved the surgery. Now I am no longer a diabetic. I am almost 9 months post op. After only 2 months post op, I was no longer a diabetic.

HealthyLifeStyle got a reaction from DaisyAndSunshine in Chrons Disease
My chrons is back with a vengeance. I thought it was gone with this surgery. I am close to being 9 months out. I was doing so good since the beginning of the WLS. Now I am back on steroids, which is making me bloated, and gaining weight. Uggghhh This is very frustrating!!
