  1. Good news. hospital Jello is awful I couldnt face it either!
  2. I'll need to be mindful of that too down the road True The surgery does more than just reduce the volume of your stomach
  3. Yes@GradyCat agree communication always is good After Id given myself a little alone time I ended up explaining ( after I'd apologised) that having every one hovering was making my head spin . Today every one gave me more space and just checked every 6hr or so if I needed anything ( I gave a todo list of the slightly heavier chores!) Still a bit fuzzy headed, hope it clears soon I'm now at day 7 post op
  4. Thanks....wish I could snap out of it tho I feel fuzzy headed too which also bugs me ( despite protein and water intake ok) guess anesthesia etc but I STILL BUGS ME !!!! Thanks for letting me know about your kranky moments too... its good to know I'm not alone
  5. Can anyone relate I'm being super irritable and snappy to people who don't deserve it ( hovering husband and 2 daughters who have travelled across country to help me) And I feel awful about it I hate my behaviour but can't seem to stop
  6. Getting used to eating REALLY slowly preop is also a good habit to start And I think it actually helped me loose weight pre op em!!too many years of eating on the run.
  7. Very glad to see that I'm not the only person over 60 doing this! Surgery date 26th January ( I'm getting a little anxious!) I will be 66 in march I've always been overweight and a yoyo dieter all my adult life Highest ever weight 142 kg 138 kg at my first wls consultation (a year ago!) And 123 kg now Years of neglecting my body are beginning to take their toll i need to take charge and take control and I'm hoping vsg is going to be the tool to help me.
  8. 4oz fluids got me worried But I double checked with Google calculate! I think 1500 ml is 40 fluid oz so thats much better Food is tiny and slow at the start Followup with your nutritionist And try not to stress!! Protein first should help ( im still 4 days pre op so this is from reading not actual practice) Congrats on the surgery, take care
