UGAPRRTHD got a reaction from ColieCallwell in Chicken Salad
I love to experiment in the kitchen. Today I took 15 ounces of Premium Canned chicken Breast (3-5oz cans DRAINED), 1/2 cup of Hidden Valley Fat Free Ranch, 1/2 cup Shredded Sharp Cheddar, 4 slices of Butterball Turkey (Diced) and Tony Chachere's to taste; mixed it all together. Not too bad for a different take on canned chicken. According to the MyFitnessPal App the nutrition breaks down this way for a FOUR (4) ounce serving..

UGAPRRTHD got a reaction from bufbills in November 2020 sleevers
Celebrating my 2 month SURGIVERSARY by weighing in at 295 pounds. That is a loss of 59 pounds since I started all the pre-surgery requirements and 37 pounds since surgery on 11/30/2020. I am loving this.

So happy that I finally reached my goal of getting under 100 kg! That is a big milestone for me!
I feel great and I can not wait for the summer, when I can finally buy new smaller clothes and feel confident in my new body. (Right now I am wearing my huge sweaters and winter jackets because it is soooo cold outside)

Milestone today! 30 lbs lost after surgery, 87.8 down since I started my weight loss in July, and I am now officially more than halfway to my goal weight! I just have to do this all one more time, haha. 😅
Also two people I work with actually commented this week that I looked like I’d lost weight. I never bring up dieting or weight loss so I was wondering how long it would take for someone to actually comment. The answer is darn near 90 lb loss!

UGAPRRTHD got a reaction from bufbills in Beef and Cheese
I like to mess around with ingredients and cook. Today for lunch I grabbed a can of roast beef, refried Beans, Mexican blend cheese, and fajita seasoning. Added some hot sauce after cooking... not bad.
1 10 oz can roast beef (drain as much of the gravy as possible should be 5-6 oz beef)
8 oz No Fat Refried Beans
2 oz Mexican Blend Cheese
1/2 pack Fajita seasoning
I mixed it all in a skillet, heated on medium heat until HOT. Weighed out 4 oz added hot sauce, Tony Sacheres, and garlic powder to taste. Definitely hits the spot when craving tacos.
According to my app each 4 oz serving is around 135 cal, 11 g carbs, 15 g Protein and 3 g fat.
If you try this please let me know how it was.

Hi everyone, I had my surgery less than 24 hours ago and writing this in the hospital now.
I made it very clear to my anesthesiologist and care team nausea is a concern for me and they’ve done everything they can to mitigate. So much that I’ve only felt one bout of nausea.
The pain I’m feeling is uncomfortable but not unbearable. Feel like I did crazy ab exercise and feeling sore.
Overall I feel good but this could be the fact I have an IV. Am I dreaming? Will I feel like crap when I get home?

I am a slow looser, but I really enjoy the journey. I can't wait for the summer, I am pretty sure it will be great!
Do any one want to show before and "during" photos?
Attached is a photo of me the day before surgery and one 2 months later.

Rachel, my sleeve blush has gotten better but I had a reaction to the pain meds they gave me. I’m not in so much pain now but I feel still loopy and I’m on day 4.

UGAPRRTHD reacted to Recidivist in LGBTQIA?
I'm a gay man who agrees with AZHiker. The advice and support I've received here have been invaluable. I don't consider my sexual orientation at all relevant to those discussions.
Two points of disagreement with AZHiker: I do think that age and gender can be relevant to our weight loss journeys. Men tend to lose weight differently (and more quickly) than women, and older people also face different challenges than younger ones. (I had surgery at age 59.)

I hit 199 lbs, it was so exciting seeing that number on the scale this morning. I'm also 4 weeks post op so hitting that milestone today was perfect! I'm down 25lbs even though I endured a 2 week stall already (ugh!). Those stalls are disheartening.
My struggles are still getting my fluids in so I started using my (reusable) straws 2 days ago and that is helping. I don't have any additional "air bubbles" gurgling up than I did before the straws. I also struggle with eating too quickly and getting sick bc it gets stuck. I want to do 3 meals and 2 Snacks but I realistically can't do that right now with my daily schedule. I have to do about 2 oz of food at a time (or less) more frequently to get it all in and to keep my stomach happy. I also had a hiatal hernia repaired so my esophagus is healing as well.

I'm so sorry your friend decided against making a life changing choice....it is her loss! I am starting the journey with my twin brother...surgery scheduled in January. Please hang in there....you are making the right choice! She will regret her decision soon enough.
