I thought about you all day today... i am glad to hear your home... my dr. Told me not to worry about oz the first day do as much as u can and dont push yourself... start tomorrow use the little cups they gave u and time ur shots through out the day!!! You got this !!!

i don’t know how people go on extended liquid diets prior to surgery though. I only have to do it for two days.... TWO DAYS!!! And I’m dying. It’s horrible. When I get hungry I get nauseous and so I’ve basically been sick to my stomach since yesterday. thank goodness I only have one more day of this. Oh and to add insult to injury: I dreamt about food😂
I dreamt I was eating warm oatmeal Cookies and then I woke up and freaked out for a minute because I ruined the pre op diet 😂 (the crazy part is that I’m not really a fan of cookies )

Hello! I am home after my surgery 3/1 & it went really well! Some annoying cramping and a couple sore spots that flare when I shift, but overall, I am super excited! Thanks for being here & so helpful.

All surgeons are different my sleeve is Tuesday I wasn't ordered a liquid diet either.. actually found out 10 days before the surgery of the surgery everything was halted due to covid and the surgeon just gave the green light and everything is moving teally fast..Good Luck

I am so excited by this time next week i should be a day out of surgery.. i talked to my dr today i wasnt placed on a strict day .. basically liquid diet 2 dys prior to surgery, 3 day clear Protein liquid post surgery, then continue on liquid (don't have to be clear) for 2 weeks...have you looked into what kind of clear liquid protein... i was convinced on gettimg premiere clear liquid but i have also been advised on isopure... any suggestions

I lost 20 in my 2 week pre-op liquid. Had surgery on December 3rd and I'm down an additional 74 as of today. Personally, I think i'm losing too much too fast but the surgeon doesn't seem to be too concerned.

I am sorry you experienced that sounds hurtful... I would really consider droppin these friends just like you've been dropping these pounds... what was this person's goal by telling you this.. i cant see anything other than to hurt you... these actions make this relationship questionable...u were strong enough to go through with this process..use that same strength to create you boundaries and let people know that their comments are unwanted and unacceptable

Had my 6 month follow up today with the nutritionist, and surgeon (it will be 6 months tomorrow). They were both extremely happy with my success. I was told that I have done exceptionally well thus far, and to keep up the good work. I have lost 76 lbs., and 77% of my body fat!! All my labs came back good, except I am anemic, but have always been. So now I have to take the bariatric Vitamins with 45 mg of Iron. I was told to do was to add in some exercise, just light stuff with the tension bands. Only 15 minutes, 3 days a week, then slowly work my way up. I have fibro, so I have to be careful or I will be in too much pain to do anything at all. I am so happy! My journey is far from over, but I am well on my way to being a healthy, productive, active person. My only regret, if any, is that I wish I had this done 10 yrs. ago.

Same! I received the letter from insurance but am just waiting to hear back from the surgeon - I'm sure they have a whole process so I don't want to be calling and bugging them for a date, but based on on the insurance letter it seems like it'll be late March! Its all happening for us!!!

I'm a guy but hope this helps. This came up as one of those "memories" timeline photos - MAY 2019 vs MAY 2020 on the same day. Surgery is a helpful tool, but you have to put in work as well! (VSG not bypass - but same concept)
