  1. Excellent. Thank you.
  2. Thanks. I thought 2 weeks was alot. My surgeon, Dr. Roslin, is supposed to be one of the best and has done a lot of these types of surgery.
  3. What was your pre-op diet ? I read somewhere that it was all liquids for 2 weeks prior to surgery but I just checked the paperwork I received from my surgeon and it only says 24 hours prior ? Curious what others did. I'm having DS surgery. Thanks.
  4. Thank you. I did receive documentation from a nutritionist but I like to do some research on my own. I plan on going to a support group meeting in a couple of weeks. Thanks for your response.
  5. From what I read the pre-op diet is for shrinking the liver so surgeon can operate easier.
  6. Dr Mitchell Roslin in Chappaqua, NY. Not exactly sure which type but I do know that he developed some sort of variation to the DS. My insurance just got approved so I haven't had another consult with him Thank you in advance.
  7. Thank you. Very helpful information.
  8. I'll be having DS surgery in about 6 weeks and starting to do some research on the vitamins and supplements I will need to take. There are many choices out there and some have a higher percentage of certain vitamins than others. One brand will have a higher amount of Vitamin A than the other but the other brand has higher amount of Vitamin E etc. What is the best way to determine which brand is better than the other? Of course, price is a factor also. Thanks in advance !
  9. Hello - I'm having DS surgery mid to late April. I live alone in an in-law apartment in my son and daughter-in-law's home. Did anyone need any help from anyone in the initial healing process? They just had a baby so I don't want to be a burden to them too much. So if you did need help - how often and with what? Thanks in advance for your help. This is a great forum!
