CammyC got a reaction from mali in Has anyone regretted getting the surgery?
I do not regret my surgery at all!! I had my surgery on March 3, 2020. I weighed 230 on my surgery day and I weigh 140 now. I have very little saggy skin and I’m running now and doing yoga and it’s toning me up. I love my body and it’s helping me love the inner me. Good luck!

Remember your why. Why did you want this back in 2014? For me it was not only my physical looks but other things. I couldn’t bend down and tie my shoes without having to breathe in between. Bending down like that cut off my breath. Another thing and this May be TMI, but I couldn’t hardly wipe my butt when I went potty. I remember sitting on the toilet crying because I couldn’t reach.
I couldn’t walk or stand more than just a few minutes without my lower back burning and aching. Diabetes and high blood pressure run in my family. These are my whys.
So you’ve gained 40 back. Thank God it’s not the 101, right? Start back with the Protein Shakes, maybe substitute a meal a day for one and when you’re comfortable with that substitute two meals a day with a shake. I lost 26 pounds in 3 months prior to surgery from that alone. When you want a snack in between, have one. But make it something healthy and filling like a banana or cottage cheese. You’ve done this before. You know what to do. All you have to do now is, just do it. Sending you positive vibes and hopes for your success!!! ❤️

@JRT Mom I’m almost 4 weeks post-op gastric sleeve. I used to weigh every day until about a week and half ago. I realized around week 2 that I don’t lose weight every day. I lose a pound or two (usually just one) every 3-4 days. So for my sanity, I now weigh about every 4 days.

I watched a YouTube video and this lady recommended activated charcoal tabs. They are actually called Charco Tabs and I found them at Wal-Mart and these helped so much! Nothing else took away the gas pain but these things. I highly recommend

I had my surgeon call me in a prescription of promethanzine?? It’s generic for fenegran or phenegren I don’t know how to spell it. It does make you drowsy but helped me so much.
im 3 weeks too and the only thing I’m eating right now is scrambled eggs and my Protein Shakes. Mostly anything else makes me super sick. I’m lactose intolerant now and hoping that will go away, but I can tolerate cottage cheese.

CammyC got a reaction from ms.sss in Just feeling sorry for myself..
Oh honey, I feel your despair in this post. My original surgery was scheduled for 1/14. I got the call two and half weeks prior to surgery that it wasn’t going to happen due to the strict guidelines of my insurance. I was DEVASTATED.
After many tears and talking with my girlfriends, I realized then I had been waiting on this surgery to be a fix-all that it just couldn’t be. I decided then I had to be okay with myself as I was before surgery. The surgery was just a tool I could use for my weight, but I had to be okay with Camille before and after surgery.
I started journaling and after I had isolated myself for two years because I hated the way I looked, I put on make-up every day, I did my hair, polished my nails and dressed up even to go to the grocery store. I went on a couple of dates. I found it okay to put myself out there and to treat myself, as I was, like someone who was worthy of being cared for even if it was only me I was doing it for.
i started being more gentle with myself and when that horrid voice inside my mind told me I would always be a fat loser, I told that b*tch to shut the hell up! I became even more invested in getting ready for the surgery that I had no idea when it would even happen. It finally happened on 3/3 and I felt I was prepared then and ready for it. I had not been ready for it mentally and emotionally in January. It was a blessing in disguise that my surgery was postponed.
Congratulations on losing 50 lbs already! What an accomplishment! See you’ve got it in you! You are worthy of happiness regardless of when you have your surgery. It will come. It will happen. This is not no, it’s just not right now. Focus on your and your family’s health and safety at this time and this will all work out. So you’ve gained 8 pounds back. I know it’s disappointing, but you can turn it around at anytime and thank goodness it’s not the 50 you already lost.
Keep posting and getting your feelings out instead of sitting on them and eating over it. You’re in company of kindred spirits who understand how you feel about this. Good luck and keep on your journey! It’s so worth it and so are you! ❤️

@AliciaBoyles The man you have described is textbook abusive, narcissistic a*****e!! What you have described is abuse. It may not be physical but this emotional, mental abuse is real. Has it become physical yet?
All counties have a support system for women like you that can help you get to a safe place.

I know it’s easier said than done to get out of a 5 year relationship, but you deserve better than this!! This kind of abuse will only lead to more trauma for you. And as you stated this is your body!! I think you know deep down what needs to be done. I wish you the best of luck in navigating this situation. You don’t need a man bringing you down when you’re obviously on a great journey to become the best you can be!
Go back to the questions posed by @Krimsonbutterflies and answer them honestly. You already have the answers. ❤️
