  1. Same! Was not a huge fish fan pre op but I'm craving the stuff now, which is ok since it sits so well thankfully
  2. 100% this. And lotion
  3. Could it possibly be acid reflux?
  4. Glad you are doing so well!!! About feeling the water travel through your system -- the discomfort will definitely get better, but I still feel everything I eat going down (feels super weird)... anyhow, congrats and feel better soon!
  5. Wow!!!! You look great!!!! Congratulations!!!
  6. Yes, what you're describing sounds very normal. Just take it slow, about a one ounce cup of water every 15 minutes. It made me nervous too because of the intense pressure in my chest after every sip, but it will get better each day as the swelling goes down. Don't be afraid to take your pain meds, they'll help you feel better so you can walk (which will also help a ton). Remember, you just had a major surgery! Best wishes [emoji173]
  7. My team suggests cheerios soaked in skim milk during the soft phase, then they say to drink the milk afterwards as you would other fluids.
  8. Had the same issue!! The scale finally started moving again a few days ago though, so hang in there!
  9. Best of luck!!! Hopefully they give you something soon for your nerves!
  10. [emoji173]hope you are doing well, you've got this
  11. You may have less swelling than other folks, which is great!! Keep on sipping
  12. I was the same way, turns out I was low on iron and I had been forgetting my prescription ferrex. Hope you feel better soon!
  13. Hi Michael! Seems like you're doing well!! My surgeon told me for the first week or two to mainly focus on hydration and not to worry too much about the protein shakes, so I'd maybe ask yours about how many you have to drink the first couple weeks. I also did bruise around the same incision as you did, and it still healed well (I think it's just bruised from the stomach coming out of it during surgery). As for going number 2, I think I was about 6 days out when I was finally able to go. Remember you've only been taking in liquids so it's not too unusual but if you need definitely take a stool softener or laxative. Best of luck!
  14. I was actually going to ask my doctor about this, as I used to take it for foot pain. I assume it might be tough on our pouches though, similar to an Nsaid maybe? I'm only 6 weeks out from surgery so I don't plan on trying it out yet but maybe down the road so I'm curious if anyone has experience. As for the effects I'm sure they're the same if you got the sleeve not sure though with rny
  15. Ok, he's probably right, I'm not a Doctor lol I hope you feel better soon!
  16. Oh nice thanks for the recommendation! I was just thinking about making a Sam's club run and stocking up on drinks so this is perfect
  17. Definitely call your doctor you may have developed fluid in your lungs
  18. Its sort of a stomach pain, feels like pressure in your chest as water tries to go down and air tries to get out at the same time. It gets much better around day 4 ish when the swelling starts to go down
  19. That's awesome, Grace!!! We're here for you!
  20. I think some places sell THC infused olive oils if you wanted to try to make something less sugary than the premade stuff
  21. I'm right there with you Jake. Smoked my bowl as soon as I got home from the hospital. The only issue I'm having is having to mentally take control of the munchies lol... Any tips?
  22. Such a cute dog!! And great advice!!! I look forward to reading this thread!
  23. Sounds like you're doing everything right then [emoji106] hope you feel better soon!!
  24. Did they send you home with an incentive spirometer? The thing that you blow in? Using that a couple times an hour should help to clear your lungs and get things moving to make it easier to breathe, but I would definitely make a call to your surgeon to make sure everything is ok
  25. Are you napping during the day from pain meds? That could affect your sleep routine.
