Im actually taking the full two weeks off work,...i have booked it off as holiday. So i can just concentrate on healing up and adjusting to my new lifestyle hehe

although im not banded yet, i will be getting my first fill 4-6 weeks after im banded.

To wear a pair of trousers...i know this might sound strange, but i never where trousers because i have knock knees (legs bend in wards) and have always been self concious because of my size. (makes it look even more obvious) so when i do loose weight, to wear a pair of trousers with confidence. haven't worn a pair in over 12 yrs!!

Hey Hun!! Like somebody else said...men really dont think before they open their mouths and i know how hurtfull it must of been. Im sure out of all the people you would of thought he would be behind you. But girl!! You use that negativity and use it to your advantage....when somebody tells me i cant do something.....OHH LORD!! im like a woman on fire!! I WILL PROVE EM WRONG! lol and so will you! You have come so far! and what a great goal to set yourself! I beleive that you CAN do it!! And so do so many others on here... one you start kicking ass with your training....your dh will regret the day he opened his mouth to laugh. You have my support hun GOOOOO LESLEY!! You are a braver woman than me.....im taking it slowly, my first goal is to walk with getting pain, then to power walk. If i was the the states, i would be there with my big banner, cheering you on!!

Hey! I have chosen to tell as few peope as possible the only person that know about it at the moment is my sister. I did bring it up with my mother, but she was having none of it. Which really upset me that she doesnt support what i am doing. I wasnt not going to tell her that im getting it done...but i have now changed my mind. Regardless she will not get me to change my mind....i have to do this for me! Other than my mum and sis...i dont personally think its anyones business, unless i choose to tell them later on. i told work that i was booking/taking my annual holiday leave....again, they dont need to know what you are going to do, unless you decide to tell them... wish you all the best

Hey! Ohh yes i know there! Quite nice areas actually! Im sure you will give them a very big suprise...i bet they wont even recognise you lol I can imagine the hugeness of the wedding...especially african ones.....i swear the whole of london be invited. I remember at my brothers wedding i swear half of the people i didnt know...you know those ones, where friends of friends, then invite their freinds lol I'm sure half of them just there for the food!! lol lol I wish you al the best also...we will both be able to cross the pond in comfort....sooner rather than later. xxxx

im sorry to hear that hun, the same thing happened to me....they refused me lapband surgery but then said that they would pay for bypass?? Now does that make sense??? go figure! anyways to cut a long story short, i know that bypass is definatly not for me so im self paying...like someone else said there is no price to high to get your health back into check. its taken me 4 months to save, but even if it took me 12 months, i would still save and get the surgery. please dnt give up...there are other ways to get it. xx

Hey patty! thanks for checking out my new vid! :eek: I really dont want to hear the negativity, im really focused and determined to make this work, even today i went to the supermarket, and by the time i had finished my back was hurting and i was sweating. i could of layed down then and there to be banded! lol lol But i gonna stick to my "need to know basis" unless i otherwise feel like telling others (which i doubt). Im still pondering on whether to tell my mum....i think i will. but like you will do it nearer the time. again like you im not doing this so everyone can notice me, but im doing this for me, for my health, to prolong my life, and to have the best quality of life that i can. xxxxx
