CONGRATS HUN!!! i wish you all the best with your surgery, if you are worried about the language barrier couldnt you talk to the hospital to get some reassurance. Ive been over the germany before and i must say they speak better english than what i do (and i live in england)!! lol

Thats not bad at all, i just hope the waiting time is the same in london, the doc actually referred me to three hospitals, so hopefully i should hear back sooner rather than later. the consultation seems pretty straight forward, did they ask you to loose any weight before surgery...? Anyways im gonna send you a PM im hijacking the waxing thread for myself lol lol

Hey! I didnt know that you could pick the hospital!! Thats really good! I really do hope that the appointment with the consultant comes through before sept, i think 4 months is more than enough time to wait to for an appointment letter. Fingers crossed the appointment comes through before sept, if the waiting list is under a yr, i will wait. what kinda things do they ask you at the surgical evaluation? and how long did you have to wait for teh initial referral from your doc to get an appointment? My situation is a little complicated...i am trying to get it done on the nhs, and am waiting for a date to see the consultant (after my doc reluctanly referred me, literally had to fight for it:but thats a whole other story!), in talking to other people who have had it done on the nhs, i could be put on a waiting list for up to three years!! So in the meantime while im waiting for the nhsappointment, ive seen a private consultant and have booked the op for sept 1st. So between now and then if i see the nhs consultant and he gives me good news and the waiting list isnt so bad i will cancel the private op. Im just praying that the list isnt that long!! but either way im getting it done, hopefully sooner rather than later :thumbup: Did you self pay or nhs? How you feeling?....next week will be here in no time!!

That is very true! ultimately its still up to you to loose the weight, there's two options. 1. Work with the band: loose weigh:thumbup: 2. work against it: put on even more weight:thumbdown: i know what i will be choosing Wish you all the best hun ((((hugz)))

gosh, you must of been in such pain. But the main thing is you are safe and well now. Did you find it easier to loose weight with the band or bypass? x

Definatly...!!i will turn up to the office in the near future with my sexy new bod lol, and i will tell her where to stick her "weight loss surgery doesn't work":biggrin::cursing: I have done the same, after all of their negative comments, i am going ahead and doing it privately. although it will cost me, there is no price 2 big for my health. Afterall im sure ive spent far more than what surgery is costing me, on the food that got me here in the first place. Good luck with your journey xxx

Hey hun, try and stick it out, i know its hard and your body is telling you, you want food. But you can get through it. Do you have any suger free squash that you could add to your Water to make it taste better? Keep drinking....are you pre or post band? Are you eating enough? How about going for a walk, or having a nice long soak to take your mind off eating. xx

hey! it also made me giggle, but i have done it myself many times!!! You would think i would of learnt my lesson to read the labels properly. And i dont even have the excuse that a label was covering the lettering, just me just being impatient and not reading!!. lol

Hey! Sorry to read about the complications that you had with the band...but i was wondering how the band got into the stomach because it is fitted on the outside:huh2:. Did your doctor who removed it say how it might if been caused? eg being misplaced incorrectly by the orginal surgeon who fitted it? How did you find eating after gastric bypass?....hope there were no complications. I think you still have a good attitude because alot of people with whom somthing has gone wrong with the band are the first to condem it, but as you said you found it a great tool and would still reccommend it. Hey! Im prob not gonna be much help, as i have never waxed but like you have shaved. But when i do shave, i shave EVERYTHING off. cos ive never had it waxed down there im not sure how long it would take for the skin to settle down. I guess it depends on the individual. are you being charged $150 dollars just to get the wax done:ohmy:??? or are you getting other treatments aswell? xx
