A huge fan of Zepbound!
I am a big fan of peptides but just be sure you're buying pure products that have been 3rd party tested and the company is reputable. I may use reta for maintenance when I get there but currently my diabetes and weight loss is doing fantastic on Mounjaro. One caveat about reta...it has been noted by many users that it doesn't have very good appetite suppression and people are much hungrier and have more food noise. One solution seems to be stacking cagri (only need a little bit) with reta to help with the suppression and noise. Best wishes!

A huge fan of Zepbound!
My journey has been similar. Diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2014 and ended up on 4 meds that made me miserable. In 2018 I weighed 238# and was 65 yrs old. I got a sleeve and I lost 95# in 6 months. Diabetes went into remission. I was exercising alot and wore a size 6 at 143# althoughmy goal was 130#. Took off and traveled around the world for 14 months till covid forced me back home. Gyms were closed so I sat around being bored and started eating more. Went back to work and had stress from that...put on about 20#. This past April, the diabetes returned so I started on Mounjaro. What a game changer! I'm on 7.5mg, blood sugars normal again, and I've lost 27# in 3 months...almost to my goal. In order to keep the diabetes under control, I plan to stay on a very low dose as maintenance in the future. I'm back exercising again and into my old clothes. Life is better.

Long Term Maintenance
Longterm maintenance using weight loss meds can utilize a number of strategies. Tirzepatide (generic name for Zepbound and Mounjaro) is far more effective than semaglutide (generic name for Wegovy and Ozembic)...they all have the GLP-1 agonist but tirzepatide works on the GIP receptors too. BTW, if you can't afford to stay on the med, check on the Eli Lilly discount card or through Lilly Direct. There are also many legit compounding pharmacies that sell it cheaper. You can do microdosing where you use just a very little amount of the med, such as 1.25mg of tirzepitide a week. This only works if you have a multi-dose pen or are drawing it up from a vial. You can stretch out the frequency of administration from the usual every 7 days to every 10-14 days or more. If you don't want to continue to lose weight but will stay on the med, you can increase your calories a little...just enough to not gain or lose. Hope that might give you some ideas to discuss with your doctor.

Before and after 95# wt loss pics
My daily exercise was helpful as I was able to hike for 3 hrs and reach the top of a mountain! I was celebrating my "do over" (at 66 yrs old) that few people get to have...I'm so blessed.

Robotic sleeve surgery
Any robotic assisted surgeries are much better than not using it. I'm a nurse who has cared for patients with much better recoveries after robotic surgery. So when my doctor said he would do my sleeve with the robot I was thrilled! I had no issues postop and very little pain.

Calorie Goal?
I started out at 200, then 400, then 600 kcal per day as time went on during the first 6 months. I'm 18 months postop now and have lost 95#. My doctor told me to eat no more than 800-1,000 kcal per day forever and no more than 1 c. of food per meal. Yes, calories matter but so do carbs, protein and water. Every day I drink an Isopure protein water so I get fluid plus 40gm of protein. It makes it easier to get my daily protein level. My doctor encourages low carb. Once I got used to eating this way, it has become my "new normal." Keep working the Plan!! It will work!

Hair loss
I've lost about 1/3 of my hair...not happy about it but losing 95# has made it worth it. Started losing at 4 months postop...I'm now 18 months out and although some has grown back, I have more to go. I've taken all the supplements, eaten more protein and used all the shampoos but none seem to help. Just growing back slowly.
