  1. Well i was told YOU CAN have carbonation after 6 months of healing...every doctor is different but it sounds like toomuch fill was removed to me...call ur doctor and explore ur options hopefully nothing else is wrong
  2. they are a FOE...they have more than 2 grams of sugar in it so it isnt even worth it...id rather have something sugar free to satisfy my snack urge
  3. try sf stuff they make a lot of it out there..good luck
  4. Im a stomach sleeper and i cant feel my port when i sleep on when im up walking around ....i can feel my port but it doesnt bother me much..i started sleepin on my stomach 3 nights after surgery
  5. I agree with Jodi...when i was on the full liquids i was drinking all the time (takin sips) or eating soups, sf jello, sf posicles, etc...liquids go down so quick of course ur gonna be hungry dont forget ur stomach wasnt rerouted like the gastric bypass...ur band probably wasnt prefilled either...the 1st 6 weeks are the healing stage...basically til ur filled whatever weight u lose u did it on ur own..good luck
  6. Hi Congrats on being banded!! Weight will fluctuate but u have to understand the 1st 6 weeks are the healing process not the losing weight process...u probably will lose being on liquids but once u switch to mushies, soft and then solids ull gain a little dont get upset...the most weight loss will start once u get ur fills...rest up for the next 6 weeks and enjoy the new you...good luck
  7. Well u sound like ur doin a good job! 14 lbs in 12 weeks is awesome....i was told by my doc u should be losing 1lb a week so ur doin great...dont forget this isnt a race its a marathon!!! be proud of ur accomplishments and dont ever look back on being heavy...keep up the good work and stay focused (sometimes easier said then done) but u took the 1st step in admitting ur not perfect like most of us...we got the lapband to help us in our weight loss journey so dont beat urself up please! Good luck
  8. Well u defenitly need to contact a doctor...i just had my 2nd fill and i do notice that if i dont take a small amount into my mouth it gets stuck..it takes me 30 to 45 min to finish a 1/2 cup of food (im happy about it but im not used to it)...speak to ur doctor or find one that can help ur situation and to make sure ur band is still ok..also how much weight have u lost? maybe a fill will help things further..good luck
  9. Wow sorry to hear that...i had to stop 6 weeks before surgery..when did u have to stop by? my hubby is on chantix (he smoked a pack a day) and he is no longer smokin as of november 12th best thing we coulda bought...call and talk to ur doctor some dont require there patients to stop smokin til the night before surgery (those are the lucky ones lol)...the only reason they want u 2 stop is for clear lungs and blood clots smoking stops blood from circulating (atleast that is what i was told)...well good luck keep us posted
  10. i wish i could stay away from soda..i did til a couple of weeks ago!! I cant beileve how addicting it is..of course i let it set and get a lil flat but still...my doctor says u can start soda in month 3 and if ur not reasy for it try it in month 6 but i couldnt resist! hopefully i can stop
  11. Well...i didnt feel much restriction after my 1st fill either but my doctor makes u wait 4 to 6 weeks..i waited 6 weeks just to make sure...in the 6 weeks i did lose 6 lbs so he was happy i lost a 1lb a week (which ur supposed to do)...i would wait if i were u give it some time to settle...get used to the fill before u get another this isnt a race its a marathon...good luck
  12. Wow congrats on ur weight loss that is awesome!!
  13. i would call ur doctor u need to get unfilled alittle bit! PB is productive burp..slime is what comes up when u get stuck (saliva)..sweet spot is when ur fill is perfect and ur consistantly losing weight (usually takes 3 or more fills) depending on the person...usually when u get a fill ur supposed to give it a week or two to feel restriction u are 2 tight it can result in weight gain or not losing weight..call ur doctor he needs to take a little bit..good luck
  14. listen ill tell u this now yes what people are sayin are correct but people do cheat it happens get over it get back to ur pre op diet and get ur surgery done...ull feel better when the surgery is over knowing this is the beginning of ur new life...i had a 14 day pre op diet and did cheat but i realized my mistake and got back on my pre op diet and was banded 9/08...i wouldnt even tell ur doctor u cheated i didnt and turned out fine 1 day of cheating is not gonna mess u up...revising ur pre op diet altogether will get u in trouble not 1 day...follow his or her rules and get back to ur pre op diet
  15. im 5'6 and my heaviest weight was 275 surgery i was 271 and now im 243 didnt lose any weight this week stayed the same im due for my 2nd fill friday...the main reason i got the band is because i want to have another child..being heavy with my 1st was not fun i had preclampsia and i dont want that again so like most people said they got the band to be healthy yea i did that 2 but my main purpose is to bring another life into this world...good luck
  16. well my doctors office always soda after 6 months as long as it has no calories..so again everyones doctor is different..good luck
  17. non fat skinny latte!! no whip
  18. post op diet is for healing..your doctor gave you orders to help you in the healing phase..i would stick to that and not cheat because it can cause slippage or other band problems..your body has to gradually get used to eating foods again
  19. Oh I luv sushi i order spicy tuna and spicy salmon all the time with brown rice! its great and i dont have a problem getting it down
  20. i can feel my port lol im a port player....i cant feel my band but def my port..it doesnt bother me tho sometimes maybe but not all the time
  21. relax! When did u get banded? people do fluctuate..have u had a fill yet? whats ur eating habits?? give us more info so we can help u..
  22. Hey Kristy Welcome to the boards and good luck on getting banded
  23. I went to the barix clinic and got banded...great facility!! Where in philly u all from??
  24. Congrats on being banded!! The scale will move the 1st stages are just the healing process..once your body fully adjusts to the band the scale will start moving again and it will move even more when u start getting your fills and get to your sweet spot...just enjoy losing weight and always remember to eat exactly what your doctor and NUT tell you..drinks lots of water and exercise daily...good luck on your journey
  25. I was told u cant have any alcohol or soda for 6 months..i dont know what ur doctor recommends but id ask..good luck
