  1. I was wondering if there was a way to find out about State or National conventions for Lapband. Not just support or information seminars but actual conventions where we all come together, share success and hurdles we have had to overcome as well as hearing talks from doctors, nutritionists, etc.
  2. I've been tanning outside and it's actually making my scar lighter. I rub Vitamin E oil on it afterwards so maybe that has something to do with it. I've tanned in the tanning bed and it didn't seem to do anything obvious to my scars.
  3. I've been banded for 6 months and we have decided to start TTC in July! I go to my gyno on the 27th of July and we will discuss if I need anything to help with the process. I am so excited!
  4. I'm 21 and I've gotten this way. It use to be that we'd do it atleast 3 times a week. now we're lucky if we do it once a week.
  5. Mine was probably when I saw my dad for the first time a few weeks ago since my surgery in December. He CRIED. He is not the type ot show emotion and he cried because he was so proud of me for doing this. Another was when I saw my best friend for the first time in over a year and a half. She just stood back and said "OMG YOU LOOK AMAZING!!"
  6. I always have gas! I hate it but my husbands gotten use to it. lol..So have most of my friends. I do use Gas X though.
  7. I think part of it is because my husband (he's 29) doesn't take the time to do anything. He gets hard and thinks that means he can just stick it in..it's not passionate or anything. i've tried to talk to him about it and he doesn't get it. hopefully it gets better.
  8. My husband bought me a string bikini. I'm still 237 lbs and not that sexy feeling. every time i put it on, BOING he's rock hard. find something that you may feel sexy in
  9. I'm only 21 and I've completely lost my sex drive. I can't hardly get off when we do have sex. I'm just completely over it. he's wanting to have kids and I'm almost annoyed at the process to do it.
  10. I may be interested. Could you please email me about it. mpate@ufl.edu
  11. I have the Realize Band. I don't know if that makes a difference but from the other replies I guess it does. Mine is right below my breast bone and I don't have any problems with it. Every once in a while if I'm laying on my stomach in an awkward way I can feel it or when I'm working out and doing crunches. Fills are super easy for me. =]
  12. So, I have lost about 50 lbs since December 15 when I had my surgery. I saw my Dad right after the surgery since it was the holidays. He's never really been one to say "I love you," show any type of emotion or give compliments. This weekend I saw him for the first time since December and he literally started crying. He couldn't believe how great I'm looking. I don't see it because I look in the mirror every day but for someone who hasn't seen me in 4 months to have that type of reaction, I can't wait to see what other people do when they see me. I almost cried because my Dad is so happy that I did this and it means so much to have his support. Has anyone had reactions that they couldn't believe? I'm seeing my best friend in a few weeks who I haven't seen in almost 2 years so I'm excited to see her reaction too.
