  9. If u have no baruatric coverage under ur insurance that means they wont pay for the procedure?? I had aetna and it was a $200 copay for bariatric surgery but they told me it was excluded from my policy so i switched insurance companies because i really wanted this done and i didnt want to become self pay...make sure ur insurance will pay for the procedure...ask ur HR if bariatric surgery is included or excluded...good luck

  15. Ive been lurking around this site since june 08...i got banded 9/08 and my main reason for banding is to conceive again....my name is cindy im 28 yrs old (turned 28 on 1.2.09 yay) i have one son christopher who turned 2 on 9.14.08...im hoping to have another child within in the next couple of years...to me chris was a miracle..when i was 19 i got prego by my hubby and had to have an abortion due to my complications...when we got married in 2004 we got prego again which led to my miscarriage ( i weighed 220 at the time)...doctors diagnosed me with hypothyroidism and told me thats why i miscarried...we tried again to conceive and had no luck...i was seeing a fertility doctor who told me i dont ovulate correctly..we decided to take a break and when we are ready we'd go back for help (medicine)...well dont know what happened but 4 weeks later i was pregnant! i was scared and def nervous thinkin id miscarry again...at 37 weeks i had preclampsia (weighin in at 265 from 220) i thought my water broke so i went to the hospital but here it was my pressure makin me leak fluids....my pressure was 160/108 on 9/14/06 at 11:28pm i had a c-section and christopher came out weighin 6lbs 8oz 19 1/2 in...since havin him my weight skyrocketed to 276 my highest i got banded 9/8 weighin in at 271 i currently weigh 241..im hopin at my one year bandiversary we can try again to conceive again with me weighin in at 170lbs...wish me luck...and good luck to all of u tryin to conceive band babies!!!
  16. Aww sorry to hear that! I had high blood pressure 2! they finally at 37 weeks diagnosed me with preclampsia my pressure was 160/108...they broke my water and started my patossin (however u spell it lol) i ended up pushin for 2 hrs and finally gave up and had a c-section..good luck make sure they monitor ur pressure it could harm u and the baby...good luck keep us posted.
  17. wow 6cc thats alot i hope ur body can handle that! I had surgery 9/8 and had my 1st fill 10/24 he put in 3cc and i had my 2nd fill 12/5 he put in 1.5cc...6 seems too much in my opinion but ur doctor knows best...be very careful eating...good luck
  18. Great Job! Keep up the good work
  19. Ok so i had my 2nd fill on 12/5 i have a total of 3.5cc in my 10cc band....Lately ive been noticing that food gets stuck alot more now than my 1st fill (probably have more restriction) I throw up almost every other day or so i try not to (i need to slow down with eating)...well last night stupid me decided to try some of my sons soft pretzel and it got stuck...i threw up 3 times (of course not real throw up because it didnt make it below the band) well i started noticing later on that night that my throat was killing me (like a sore throat when ur gettin sick)...today it feels a little better (probably because i took tylenol) but im a little worried did i do something bad to my throat? and also i was sitting on the couch and bent over to pick my son up and i kinda felt somethin move in my belly?? im sure it was just a muscle but it was really weird..do u think im 2 tight? water and liquids go down fine and so do certain foods i think i need to avoid breads..i guess this fill is working than? what do u think?
  20. I had a similiar situation they told me my due date was between the end of sept to oct 4th and i had my son sept 14th he was 7lbs 8oz and 19.5 inches..he measured smaller on the ultrasound but had a very big head...i went my by my own judgement not theres i thought they were wrong and im asuming by me having him at 37 weeks (by there calculations) they were off he was a nice size healthy baby...what does ur baby calculator tell u when u put ur LMP in?? im sure ur 16 + weeks not 14 doctors dont know everything..good luck
  21. Welcome to the boards...good luck on ur journey....any questions we are here to help
  22. My doctor says no alcohol or soda for 6 months after that in moderation..so everyones right peoples doctors all have there own rules...do what u feel is best for u...good luck
  23. I wouldnt worry...get back on the pre op diet and follow it from now til ur surgery ull be fine...also do a fleet enema the day before surgery to clean urself out...i cheated most days 2 but got myself back on point and was banded 9/8/08...good luck
  24. I would Def call ur doctor!! Ur way too tight...I was told if ur losing more than 2lbs a week and throwing up ur too tight...get a slight unfill maybe ull feel better...u need to be able to get water down so u dont dehydrate and also protein for energy....May i ask how much u weighed when u got lapband?? i weighed 271 and have a 10cc band...ive had 2 fills so far i think im at 3 or 4cc..food does get stuck but not all the time and liquids dont hurt at all...the only time i get stuck is when i eat too quick (which im still learning to control)...call ur doctor dont wait...good luck
