  1. I've enjoyed reading everyone's plastic surgery threads, and since I'm 3 weeks out from surgery, I thought I would start my own! I'm going to make up for all of the WLS mistakes I made (not taking "before" photos or measurements), and plan to track my PS progress much better!! So here's where I am to date! I originally planned on having a CTT (circumferential tummy tuck, also known as a lower body lift) along with a BR/BL/BA (breast reduction, lift, and then adding implants back in for fullness). Plans have changed slightly since then, and I've also changed surgeons. The original surgeon I was going to does great work, but the surgery center he works for is very unorganized. I was initially willing to put up with the chaos to get that particular surgeon, but there was story after story of women getting their surgeries canceled at the last minute, and it was adding too much stress to what I want to be a really fun and exciting process. The new surgeon suggested a different approach, and I really like her thoughts on it. Instead of a CTT she wants to address only the front of me (tummy and breasts) so that she can remove more skin from my tummy and leave me in that post tummy tuck hunched over position. With the CTT she wouldn't be able to take as much off the front b/c of the posterior incision. So my goal for round 1 is to look great from the front! LOL!! I really like how she explained it, and am excited! Also I'm now down to a 34D, and the lift itself will reduce a little bit, so now I'm just a BL/BA (no more BR). I've completed my pre-op testing (mammogram, chest xray, EKG, bloodwork), and will head down to Florida next week. I covid test upon arrival then report to the office on 1/6 for my pre-op visit. Surgery is on 1/12, and she wants me to stay in town for at least 4 weeks, but better yet would be 6 weeks after surgery. Since I'm working from home due to Covid anyway, and have a place to stay in Florida, I'm 100% on board with the stay requirements! Something good to come out of Covid!! LOL!!! So that's where I am for now, and look forward to updating with my progress as the weeks go by!!
  2. Were you constipated prior to making that BM? It's possible that it tore your rectum on the way out. Even a tiny bit of blood will look like A LOT in the toilet!
  3. I think the chicken might not go down very well. Refried beans would work, and you will be surprised at how little you swallow before you feel full! Chew everything really well, eat slowly and STOP the second you feel restriction. It's that "one more bite" that causes pain, nausea, etc, especially in the very beginning. Good luck!!!
  4. I wish I had taken pre-op measurements!! Great idea to track progress!!
  5. I wish I had taken before pics!!! I hid from the camera for years, but now I wish I had more pics for comparison!! You are going to be smoking!!! Best of luck to you!!

Trust me, you don't want to see my tummy peeking out! LOL!!! It's scary!! Ha ha ha!!! It's actually not even worthy of being called a "tummy" which sounds like something really cute. Perhaps after plastic surgery though!

Thank you!! Your post made my cry happy tears!! PS is 3 weeks away!!! I can't wait!!! Regarding thigh gap. I tried to put my phone in between my legs to hold it while I was putting on my coat the other day, and dropped my phone b/c my thighs don't touch each other anymore. LOL! I gotta get used to not having that storage area anymore. ha ha ha!!!
  8. Congrats!!! Welcome to the rest of your life!!!! Woot woot!!!!
  9. Congratulations!!! It's pretty much impossible to meet your protein goals in the beginning, so just focus on keeping yourself hydrated. Sip, sip, sip all day long!!! Best of luck to you!!!

Bought this shirt for a dollar but didn’t realize it was a crop top til I tried it on at home. I put a black tank top under it. Does it work? Any tips on how to wear it? My jeans are size 4! Omg! So not used to this new body yet!! Lol!!
  11. Woo Hoo!!! Enjoy the new clothes and boots!!
  12. Phone, charger, and chapstick. You will sleep the whole time, so enjoy it!!! I wore comfy clothes there, changed into hospital gown when I got there, and then wore the same clothes home again the next day! Best of luck to you!!
  13. I didn't buy any kitchen tools either. Never really thought that I needed anything. The hospital sent me home with a bunch of disposable 2 ounce plastic shot glasses, but I only used them a few times. Save your $$ for your new wardrobe someday soon!!
  14. I love my bypass, and you will love yours too! Best of luck to you and I'm glad they discovered the benign tumor before it did any damage!!
  15. I also chose RNY b/c I had GERD. Happy to say that my GERD has been 100% gone since the day of surgery. I was shocked that it just went away like that! I also haven't had dumping yet. I did get the "foamies" a few times in the first few months after surgery, but that's it. I actually wanted dumping as a deterrent! LOL!! I haven't gone crazy with sweets, but had a few pieces of halloween candy, a cookie here and there, etc, without any problems.
  16. Which surgery did you have? It sounds like you might have GERD. I would talk to your surgeon about it and see if meds can help?
  17. Woo Hoo!!!! Best of luck to you!!
  18. There's no TMI around here! We talk about poop a lot! LOL!!!
  19. My scars blend right in with my stretch marks! LOL!!!
  20. When I had my meeting w/ the surgeon, they gave me my surgery date at that time. Hope the same is true for you. Good luck!!
  21. I haven't seen many people since my weight loss due to Covid, but my my husband's comments always warm my heart. Sometimes when we hug he'll exclaim "I keep forgetting how tiny your are." One time we were out and he hit the mens room while I waited, and when he came back out to find me he said he didn't see me at first b/c he was looking for the "old" me and forgot to to look for the "tiny" me. I'm actually excited to go back to work someday and see my coworkers who have no idea what I look like! That will be a fun day!
  22. How long is he staying with you? If a week or so, you could always say you have a sinus infection, or some other non-contagious illness that would be an excuse to feel less than great, and feel less than hungry. I had my surgery last December, and the old "sinus infection" was my excuse, just in case anyone noticed how little I was eating (I was still on liquids at that point). Good luck!!!
  23. The only person who knows I have saggy skin is my hubby! I look pretty awesome in clothes if I do say so myself! LOL!!! When I was morbidly obese, the whole world knew I was fat. I'd rather be secretly saggy than obviously fat! ha ha! Besides, that's what plastic surgery is for, if you so desire (and I desire!!!!)
  24. I remember OJ being high in sugar from my pregnancy days. I would drink it before an ultrasound to get the baby hopped up and active! LOL!!
