October Surgery Roll Call
Be excited! It’s a great step you are taking! I still look back at my surgery ( a year ago - 6 stone lost) and wish I had done it years ago! Be kind to yourself and let your body dictate the pace - follow your dietary advice to the letter after surgery and of things take longer then that’s okay. I stayed on soups and purées for AGES. It worked for me! Good luck xxxx

October Surgery Roll Call
@ANewHooze I have lost over six stones in total- have plateaued slightly at 13stone but look pretty good at this. Honesty compels me to admit that I would loose more if I gave up the gin and tonics!! The pain after surgery was really manageable- I had my surgery in Turkey and after two days travelled to the UK. I just took my recovery at my own pace and used plenty of pain meds! Good luck! Xxxx

Hi i had my surgery 14/10/19. I have lost about 70lb so far. Feeling good and on track. Sometimes I forget and eat too fast or too much and have episodes of foamies and pain. I’m trying to stop this. Hope all of you are doing well xx

October Surgery Roll Call
I’ve lost just over 56 since my surgery in October. I’m feeling great and am super happy about this. I’m eating most things in very small portions- still focussing on protein intake and cutting down on carb Intake. Thinking of you all- good luck for your journeys

Messed up at New Years, paying the consequences
Hi Don’t beat yourself up! We have all ‘messed up’ a bit - I know I have (tried chicken nuggets week 8 and puked foam for 3 hours!) Keeping to plan is hard- even with family support- my husband struggles to give me small servings when he dishes up so now I just serve myself- it’s finding things that work. I do ask when I need support- over the holidays I did have to ask for a junk food free day for the family- I didn’t want to be looking/ thinking about it. Good luck proving your family wrong- you’ve done the hard bit- the surgery- now enjoy the weight loss bit! Xx

Magnesium citrate and constipation
I’m currently taking half a fibogel sachet morning and night on days I don’t have a bowel movement- seems to be working great.

Partner/ spouse support
Hi I initially my husband was also very concerned with the risks. However once I clearly explained my reasoning and assured him that I wasn’t able to weight loss without surgical help he did come round. He was great once I had the surgery on Oct 24. Im so glad I had this done- do it for you x Good luck! Xx

Over Night Stay
Lip balm and wet wipes. I used my phone a lot for google translate as I had my surgery abroad. I also bought a nice gift for the ‘Foreign Guest Liaisons ‘ person I had been communicating with.

2 weeks post op and in pain on day 13 and 14 whats going on!!
Hi All My surgery was October 14th and I’m still feeling a lot of abdominal pain. I’m using heat pads and painkillers. Hopefully it’s just a healing time thing and will get better. I think I am ok with food intake- I’m on very soft squishy foods and liquid. Hopefully you’re all doing okay too. Xx

Hi i would just concentrate on getting well after your surgery and eat what you need to - sooner or later you will meet someone fabulous who will accept and love you as you are- strange dietary habits and all!! xx

Cramping pain below ribs on both sides mailny left
Hi if the surgeon says it could be gas then I would treat it symptomatically as gas- walk as much as you can - see if you can find a gentle partner or family member for back massages ( this really helped me- my mum said it was like burping me when I was a baby!!) I do hope you feel better soon- if the pain persists then do contact your doctor for more advice.
