I enhanced this cauliflower crusted pizza I bought @ costco. Added Protein of grilled chicken sausage (can add anything I.e. shrimp), part skim ricotta, reduced fat mozzarella as well as more marinara, sun dried tomatoes & mushrooms. Cooked by air frying which made crust nice & crusty. Totally satisfied any pizza cravings I might have had. No pizza, Pasta, limited carbs in 10.5 lbs. Down 120 lbs. 20 more to go!

I’m only 7 months out but happy with my progress. I’m eagerly looking for others suggestions to you that have more experience. Your situation is something I think many of us are always concerned about- Maintaining our weight loss. You certainly sound like you’re doing right things. My brother has maintained his 160 lb weight loss for 18 years. He has had periods of struggles & has said he’s been up as much as 15 lbs. He then is super careful & goes back to early basics & does go back down.

Try not to concentrate on what you can’t have. When you get to stage when you can eat all foods on program there are plenty to substitute with to satisfy cravings.
I love pizza. But it wasn’t til 8 months out that I ate cauliflower pizza. I did buy store brand from Costco- Miltons with roasted veggies. I added chicken sausage, part skim ricotta & RF mozzarella. Cooked in air fryer so crust was just crispy enough. Delicious. Yesterday I made lobster pizza from langostino also from costco. I certainly do not feel deprived. But I’m really focused so I don’t fight with myself too much.

    I'm leaning towards @Deemar007's response.
It will be more beneficial for you now and in the long run to take on the weight loss journey yourself, vs. relying on others to adjust their habits to accommodate your chosen lifestyle. If you can succeed without the need for others to change, your successes will be in YOUR control, and theoretically be longer lasting.
I know this is easier said than done. Especially since you are only 3 days post op. The first week or so is the hardest. If you can, take the time and make the effort to sustain lasting change, you WILL NOT regret it.
P.S. Though I do also agree with the other poster that it wouldn't hurt to ask him not to bring sandwiches to bed. He can chose to decline your request, but I would think it's a fair request...I mean, even just from a hygiene and bug potentiality perspective...
    Good Luck!

I’m 8+ months post op. HW 285 SW 245 CW 173. Total lost 115 lbs. Want to lose 30 more. I’ve never measured. I do eyeball & count in head. Doesn’t work for all. I have strong aversion to writing down, journaling & exact counting. Negatively reminds me of my up-down history with WW. It’s worked so far. Also took me good 4 months to get into exercising. Joined gym just before self isolation so it’s been on hold. But took advantage of isolation period. Broke out my old hand weights, leg/arm bicycle & bought Pilates ring. It has become part of my schedule during this period & will continue to do so. Results I’m seeing keeps me motivated. Not only some “bumps” that I’ll call muscles! But tightening of legs & arms to help with some saggy skin. And energy level through the roof. Hope this helps but I didn’t start to exercise until I was good ready!

that is going to vary A LOT depending on several factors - age, gender, metabolic rate, activity level, for example. Some people have to eat 1000 calories to maintain - some can maintain on 2000 (and some men can maintain on even more). Just from hanging out on these boards for the last few years, I would say somewhere in the 1200-1500 range is pretty common for women, but again, it's all very individual. I can maintain on 1700 and lose on 1500, but that's kind of on the higher end for women. You'll just have to experiment and see what level you can maintain at - and what level you'll start losing at. And of course, to figure this out, you'll have to start tracking your food intake (if you're not already doing that).

    Hi everyone!
I hope everyone is doing great . I wanted to come here and share an update with you all. I had VSG in December and I’m so glad I did. Best decision ever! As of today I have lost 67 pounds and I’m am officially a healthy BMI! I can’t believe my clothes are a size small and extra small. I used to wear 2x! I am so happy. So much hard work and dedication goes in to this. This is def not the easy way out. A lot of sweat and tears to reach my goal. I workout every day. I purchased a bowflex since the gyms have been closed for a while now. I no longer eat meat, that was a huge change for me. Suddenly my stomach can’t handle meat at all. So I’m a pescatarian now. I still have at least a Protein Shake a day. My doctor said if I enjoy them I can continue to drink them, so I do. I used to be obsessed with sweets, I no longer like anything sugary. I went through a crazy Hair loss for a few weeks. I was getting concerned since it was so much hair loss. Luckily it seems to have subsided. I no longer need my asthma medication daily, I have been on remission from RA and I haven’t had Migraines in months! Even my GERD got better 😊. It feels great to see my doctors and have them congratulate me on my progress. There were plenty of times where stalls happened, or I felt I wasn’t losing as fast as other people. That’s when I took a step back and stopped comparing my journey to others; I started enjoying mine. I realized it’s not a race and eating healthy and being active I will surely lose the weight at my own pace.
Sending everyone lots of positive thoughts and vibes. I hope you all are healthy and keep pushing. ❤️

You are jeopardizing your health big time! MUST take your Vitamins, eat your Proteins & drink your Water. You don’t seem to understand program. Especially if you are questioning that your loss of 89 lbs in that short period of time is slow! I hope your surgeon addresses these issues with you. Please take this seriously. Your health is most important.

I had pain meds 1st night. But gave me Migraines. So went without as migraines were worse than pain. Not to say I didn’t have pain but just dealt with it. It’s only very small part of our journey. Any pain is now in rear view mirror 8 months later & worth it!
