Wine 2 days in a row
Thank you for all the info, I will be mindful of this for sure. My team allowed us to have coffee even in the hospital and I questioned it on my first post up visit thinking maybe it was decaf however they said no it was regular and it was fine I look forward to my morning cup and sometimes on in the afternoon. Should I be cutting that out ?

Wine 2 days in a row
Just 6 weeks out and away on vacation. Had wine 2 nights in a row but out the kabosh on that today. I have been beating myself up about it sabotaging my weight loss. I weigh myself only once a week so I will see Wednesday how much damage I did. Just can't get it out of my head. Anyone else experience this ?

Any August 2019 people out there?
My surgery was 8/15 and I am also at 32 total from my highest weight during doc visits b4 pre-op diet. I look at it in increments of 5lb sugar bags, try carrying 6 1/2 of those up a flight or 2 of stairs. That keeps me motivated

Any August 2019 people out there?
I haven't tried chicken salad yet as I am not allowed until 8wks post op, so 1 question is could it be too soon? When I can I will make it out of homemade moist chicken cutlets or a pre cooked rotisserie chicken which are probably both less dry. Lastly for me It would be mind over matter. I've never purchased canned chicken but a friend of mine gave me some she purchased that she didn't like, she told me to feed it to my cats which I did so again for me it would be a mental no no

Vsg with hypothyroidism, PCOs, and diabetes.
I'm just 3 /?2 weeks out but my sugar has come down, as for the thyroid, I had 1/2 my thyroid removed a few years ago and have been on Levothyroxine/Synthroid for years. As a matter of fact my dosage has gone up several times pre surgery to try and level out my TSH. I met with my endocrinologist the week before my surgery, she said it is very important to have TSH levels checked via blood work after the loss of each 15lb increment. I had blood work again last week and my levels showed I should stay on course with my meds current dosage but again need to check every 15lbs in case dosage needs to be lowered.

Very Frequent Hiccups
I had the sleeve and seem to get them when I eat or drink too fast however I remember the discharge nurse telling me if you have excessive hiccups make an appt with the surgeon as sometimes it's the sign of a leak. I would just check it out for piece of mind

Any August 2019 people out there?
Well said ! My surgery was just one day before you and I was hoping to be down more than I was on my 3 week visit this week however I was so happy to be able to start cottage cheese and pureed veggies yesterday ! I love farina and yogurt but I have been hungry and I am tiring of it. With the new foods yesterday and today I am feeling content. Decided to only weigh on Wednesdays and Sundays

Any August 2019 people out there?
Congrats to all of us August sleeves! We did it, now that it's officially September I mentally feel it's behind me. Mentally yes lol but my stomach tells me different. I was sleeved 8/15 still on stage 2 so yogurt and farina are the only nondrinkables I've had. I move to stage 3 on 9/5 and can't wait to have cottage cheese, pureed veggies and ricotta. Does anyone have the ricotta bake recipe link ? I understand we all had different protocols for pre surgical diet due to our BMI, weight, individual health issues etc. But I'm so confused as to how all our post op diets vary ???? Even on my next stage I am still not allowed scrambled eggs, only soft and poached which I detest. I guess each surgeon has their own philosophy but I feel most on the boards have been offered so much more. I'm dreaming of scrambled eggs, refried beans, lentil soup etc. But like I said stage 3 starts later this week which will be 3 weeks post op and it's just purees, cottage cheese and ricotta that will be new for me

Hungry after gastric sleeve?
I was sleeved 8/15 and can start pureed foods 9/5, I'm counting the days to cottage cheese and pureed veggies, yes I am hungry. I was hungry in the hospital too, it hasn't gone away. I asked the fellow sleeves and most said it was head hunger, I'm hanging in there but understand how you all feel. The first 2 days home from the hospital I also questioned my decision but that has passed and I am at peace with my choice. Hang in there we will all get there, keep drinking, even if it's small sips. My first protien shake at home took me 5 hrs to finish, one week later I drank it so quickly I was afraid it was too quick. It will get better

Frustrated
I'm not at 5 weeks yet but my doctor doesn't allow chicken yet at that point. I also know from reading all the materials they gave me when you are able to have it, it must not be dry

Clothing Rollercoaster
I smashed saver so I have clothes size 12 through size 16w packed away. I'm 10 day out so still wearing my 2x and 18w hoping when they get to big I'll donate and take them to Goodwill. Not sure if I will ever get back in a 12 so when I hit goal they may have to go too but I'll wait and see once I'm in a 14. I plan on purging each size as I go. And will check the thrift store for any fill in the blanks I need

Disneyland/Theme Park Post Op Experiences?
I certainly can't speak to the rides but as for the stamina I would think you'd be back in action by then. I am 10 days out and just traveled about 4 hrs to Celebrate my daughters engagement and stay 2 nights, If you asked me last week I couldn't imagine being here. However we arrived and have been doing nothing but walking and bopping from place to place. You got this
