  1. Hey everyone! I am 37 days post-op sleeve...I am shaped pretty thick and know I will definitely have loose skin (breasts are 44Gs)... Saw this video: https://www.sleeveacademy.com/skin What are your thoughts? What have you learned? Encountered? I have uploaded a picture pre-op in pink (not that much different now in dress lol)
  2. Love following Dr. V on Facebook and YouTube: https://www.sleeveacademy.com/howmuch?fbclid=IwAR26zELRDSvAL-hzf3IaSyAkSLgwCxki-tOlm1GO8Jz7R0FYXunkHmV9820 This is a great one he posted today!
  3. OMG I had to share today!! I’m on a plane for the first time post-op (29 days) and I don’t have to ask for a belt-extender (although JetBlue has larger seats than most..I feel actually comfortable! After a few days of feeling down and out about my weight stall, I feel awesome this am!
  4. @chiptress Yes, my NUT teen (so much more informative than my surgeon) told me too! I hit the stall wall and had some moments (plus I’m also on a Debt diet lol so no going too many hangout spots!)..I am sooo happy I had the surgery! Thanks for the encouragement..btw, which Facebook group? I’d love to join.
  5. Good luck tomorrow!! I was good the day before..I meditated before going in and things went well!
  6. I’m dealing with up and down moods, especially this past week. Things are going well, but I’m just not in a very good mood at all!! I do feel better when I go to Zumba!
  7. Thank you! I am taking it day by day! I am actually at a stall...trying not to be in my head...I want to go to the big one he has in Vegas in Feb.
  8. Check this surgeon out on YouTube (Dr. V - weight loss)..He has some great videos that talk about preparing!
  9. It actually sounds like reflux (which is common with the surgery), but I agree that you should leave a message with the surgeon's office!
  10. I agree! You may need to thin it out.. I just stayed with my pre-op Unjury shakes and powder. The protein shakes are now the easy part! I am not hungry enough to really do the pureed...
  11. It seems kinda surreal (the pre-op diet)! Good luck! I didn't think about Forums/groups before surgery (think I would have been more prepared! If you haven't gotten Dr. V's book, do so! I am almost finished reading it and it is great!
  12. I am doing great! I went for my first post-op with the surgeon this week and got cleared to exercise (love AquaFit). I am at a stall with my weight loss, but not focusing on that (or trying not too)! I am actually coming off the pureed stage and actually ate some white fish and eggs this week. Has gone good so far. I still drink my 3/4 Unjury protein shakes to make sure I am getting my protein in. Good news is that I am off all 3 of my BP meds! How are you??
  13. I am angry to hear this! This partly happened to me (but I caught it and my NUT did too -- they gave me the wrong food/bev tray twice. I refused and actually got my surgeon in trouble.). Check out YouTube for "Dr v weight loss." He has an awesome set of videos (A LOT of them). Not sure if it will help you to figure out the "hydration" issue, but search :). He is hilarious, but on point for so much. Good luck! I just took my time and drank from little small cups until I got more down!
  14. I don't, but I am in St. Pete! I am 25 days post-op (best decision EVER)...best thing to do is call your insurance and ask (a local bariatric surgery office can give you the code to ask with). Good luck!
  15. I did hear that not getting the water (to stay hydrated) and working out (which puts off more of your water) will cause stall (my NUT). I also am there (and gained a lb at my 1st surgery post-op).. I am going to keep going! You too!
  16. It’s hard!! I constantly have to think to put my fork down!!
  17. It’s taking some getting used to, but here goes only 25 days post-op (yes, counting days is something I didn’t used to do to lol).. Drink daily (money spent on other things now)! Buy food like I had a house full of protein (just me and my daughter) Eat out all the time (just because) Yep..watch My 600lb Life and My Family Weighs a Tom! Entertain stupid guys..just don’t New Me (mentally and physically)!
  18. Day 24 post-op and got cleared for all exercises at my first post-op visit! So excited to be going to Aqua Fit! Great class!!
  19. With the slow masticating one, it takes me about a whole stalk of celery for about 16 ozs
