You’re not the first person to have done this Mr. Sean , and doesn’t the weight loss start slowing down at about 6months anyway? You’ve done so well , and as Deedee said, it’s not too late to get back on track . btw, well done Deedee for getting back on track. I wish I was hungry . I’m 20 weeks out, and got ill before Christmas , still not great and can’t eat . Im living on chicken Soup . My surgeon told me I should be be having 4 or 5 Protein Shakes a day, but can’t get anywhere near it . I’m lucky if I can get through 1.which nuts are we allowed ?

This is when I haven’t drunk too fast , it too soon after food . I think I’m a bit paranoid because I had ecoli in my urine and got really bad pains and then got bruised ribs from trying to be sick for hours and hours. The pain started to get better , but has come back ,tho not as bad .

These are supposed to be professional people !! How could she do that !! It’s admirable that you didn’t give up , well done and I’m so pleased you got. it done , but you shouldn’t have to have gone through all. that stress. You. should report it . Are these people completely void of any kind of compassion at all?!! Apart from that, they have a duty of care , are supposed to be unbiased . VERY unprofessional. Just. curious, Did she give you a reason for overturning the first. decision ? I wish you all the very very best ❤️

Do you know what did it ? This exact same thing has happened to my son , who also had a Gastric Sleeve. He is now talking about having it changed to a bypass .

If it’s when you may have eaten a bit too much , could it be dumping syndrome ? I have had it , but couldn’t actually be sick . It’s the worst feeling .

I’ve had that, NOT pleasant!

I tend to think that if it doesn’t work , the patient hasn’t followed the plan iproperly. I can’t see how it can’t , when you’ve got such a small stomach. I can see that further down the road, we can gradually start to be able to eat more , and could mess it up by eating too much stretching the stomach , I know someone who did just that , but it’s a tool to help us , not a magic cure to allow us to eat what and how much we want ,and not put on weight . We have to do some of the work ourselves too! As long as you’re careful and do
as they say , you should be fine It’s not always a walk in the park ,but the results are well worth it . I wish you well .

I had mine at 69, and just had the regular supplements that everyone has ands have had no problems.

I had no nausea at all , and felt ok from day 1, and because of my age , and medical history , the surgeon said I was a bit of a risky case , but I was fine after my surgery . As long as you do as they tell you, you should be fine . We can’t generalise because everybody is different of course . I wish you all the best on your journey . 🙂

wow Orchid ! That was lucky . I’m scared to eat anything at the moment because I was really ill with stomach and back pains , severe diarreoh , and vomiting .. I was given antibiotics for a uti, and think it was those that made me vomit , and diarreoh.Now I’m scared, to eat solid food, and didn’t eat anything for 2days , was scared even to take Vitamins on an empty stomach , just had Water, I felt awful yesterday and progressed to thin Soup with turkey for Protein, and having Protein Shakes and taking vitamins now. Because it was over Christmas, I couldn’t get to speak. to the Bariactric Team.Had anyone else experienced anything like this ?

Hi Superman 🙂 I was prescribed Iron, Calcium, a multivitamin, another multi Vitamin to take weekly, and B12 injections once every 3 months . I didnt have to pay anything . I was sent home with the initial months supply and then got them on prescription, but Iam in the UK, It may be different where you are .
