    Hell errrrbody!
When I was banded in 2009 I was on this platform daily and making some pretty awesome friends, pretty fast. LOL
It seems this time around I'm a lonely painter living in a box of paints. (bonus points for who knows where I got that from?)
I am active, been chatting and looking and responding but it seems pretty quiet for me.
Maybe it's just me but I sure do like talking to folk about their experiences, fears, achievements, disappointments, etc.
I am being sleeved Dec. 9th, 2019 by Dr. Matthew Metz in Denver Colorado

Well I. see. Mikeey's point, it is Valid but. yes Ambivilence is also more prevalent than many on here do admit. And if it helps , you have a Soul Sister in Ohio, almost 14 months out from my RNY, finally admitted to my PCP today, that although I am grateful my body size. is now one- half my HW, I am approaching a " normal" size appearance, now weigh 20 pounds less than HIM, deep in my inner- Frustr8 at least 30% I wish I could go to my surgeon, and request to be reconnected. I MISS my pyloric valve, I miss a smooth digestion, I am SO SO TIRED. of my frequent urp- up 1o Emesis, I yearn to feel a " FULL" sensation because I never really have one, I yearn for a day with no pouch, stoma or jejunem pain. Although I have been judged to have a patent/ open diameter there - I will carry to my dying day visible scarring with every endoscopy. I have just enough gastric acid prodution to ulcerate my upper small intestine but not enough to digest meat --not even highly ground or pureed stays down . It is my belief when my pouch was "stapled off" and devided, my gastric inervation was either destroyed or severely limited, my pouch drains, mostly by gravity instead of motility. But rationally I am aware I would have a 45- 50% chance of not surviving an open abdominal SURGERY, yes my Surgeon does have the skills, I chose the Chief of Bariatric. Medicine at The Ohio State University, after all. And I am LUCKY ( if you want to CALL,it that) I did not have to donate 3/4 of my natural stomach to either Medical Science or the Waste Incinerator. So everything still remained within ME, just rendered portions less or non- functional.
But the ultimate irony- except for the first 14-15 days post- SURGERY before my pouch strictures and stenosed, I have not been pain- FREE, oh Tylenol does take it down to a dull roar, but like the rotten stepchild you receive in a Second marriage, yeah the very same one who tries getting in your face and stating " I DON'T HAVE TO LISTEN TO YOU- YOU'RE NOT MY MoM!" it just hangs around glaring if you try to make contact.
I DID really think by now the Sunlight would be warm and welcoming, the Bluebirds singing and all the Flowers blooming freely and THEY'RE NOT.
Tried to discuss my dis- ratification with my NP at the Bariatric Clinic only to be told " Quit Your Belly- aching- YOU know you are healed, there is nothing really wrong with YOU, you are just wanting to be coddled and/or pitied- it's been over a Year so you have been already " grandfathered" into health" Gee Thanks for such a " lovely" assessment- remind me to fill out that card that says how WONDERFUL you all have been to ME. If I had desired to be ignored, I wouldn't have travelled 50 miles to see YOU!
I really wish I could go back to being rejoined- if I died at least I would return to my GOD the way He Made Me- rejoined in a proper manner sans the interior scars and exterior droopy skin. And forgive me, my last breaths would be at peace .
Sorry but I didn't want you to feel an "outlier" there are OTHERS out here in Cloud Cuckoo Land, and I'm not going to Gild the Lily- there are pluses and minuses whether or not anyone admits it!
Much love, stay as strong as possible and perhaps there is still a Brighter Day for Us Both!

Heyy guys! I hope everyone's doing well!
I have good news! It may not be much but I'm super excited so i'm sharing!!
So for a while now I've only been wearing leggings because my old size 24 jeans had been slipping off so much and became impossible to wear. Anyway, even my leggings (3x) became too baggy for my liking so I decided to go shopping! I was at costco and they had these cute leggings with pockets that I loved but the only size left was an XL and they also had these turtle neck shirts that are really cute and only $5 but only had an XL as well so I got them both thinking that I could probably wear them in a month or two when they'd fit. I also went to the mall and got two pairs of jeans, a 16 (that I thought would BARELY fit) to wear now and a 14 to wear in a couple months.
When I got home I tried them all on, including the size 14 jeans I bought for later and GUESS WHAT! They all fit perfectly!! SO EXCITED!! 😁
(sorry for the cropping and coloring my room's a mess and so are my toes 😂 😬)

Hey guys decided I would post some pics and my story. I’m Mike and I’m 37 from Montreal. Waited a full 5 years to get this surgery. Best decision I ever made.

Surgery was Nov. 22, 2018 and I’ve since lost over 180 lbs! I work out 6 times a week; cardio, swimming and various exercises.

let me know what you think!

Google telogen effluvium. There isn't much you can do about it however it is temporary and will grow back. You can also search existing threads on this site, there are tons of opinions on things to do but honestly I believe it has to run its course.....there is no magic pill to make it stop.

Claudine J. got a reaction from FluffyChix in Nauseous
I had lots of nausea, especially the first three days and then on and off for about eight weeks depending on what I ate. I was vomiting in the hospital but because there was no food nothing came up, just a bad taste in my mouth which made the nausea worse.

This will most likely go away soon so just hang in there and take your anti nausea medicine if you have.

... and I started off the day reading a terrifying story from a girl who had RNY in June and has had chronic low potassium and had to be hospitalized. Probably not my best move to read it this morning bc now I’m just getting more and more fearful of all the what if’s.

Okay okay...so the 600 lb. life thing is really a thing! I watched it early before and after surgery, but I needed to know something important and I know it now and I don't watch that anymore or anything like it. I needed to know I could find my way back. I had to see all those poor, sick people get better so that I knew I could get better too!
1st: Before surgery I played on my computer habitually. If the internet went down, my life went down! I don't even turn my computer on for days now, nor do I use it for game playing or socializing...(sorry to all my computer friends that I never met!)
2nd: I was sooo messy before, house a mess, laundry existed only in dirty and clean baskets. Now...my house is clean, all the time, and you can find all clothing and linens neatly folded and put away.
Last: My secret mantra back in the day, and I hate to even admit this, but I would say to myself that "I hate people." I'll give myself a little break here, I was so big that people either were to embarrassed to look at me or too cruel not too. Now, I love people! I randomly help people who look like they need help. I smile at everyone, look them in the eyes, strike up conversations. Holy ****, I've pulled over in my car 3 times since surgery to help people who got mashed up in the road, ready to save them anyway I can! It's alarming that I've seen that many accidents happen right??? Good thing I love people now :). New mantra to live by: "Everyone is wonderful!"

I can relate to that. I spent a year and a half looking for a job and I got nothing. Even though I was right for the position I was turned down every time. It is frustrating!

One Vote for----" You're Cool Already!" Alas I am neither an Interviewer nor an Employer, too often they look at the 🐢Outer Shell not the Good Things you contain inside. And BABY they are the 👎LOSERS for such an attitude! The Best Person😛 for a job may not be built like a👗 Stick Figure.

This surgery can’t come soon enough! Every damn part of my body hurts from my knees, hips, legs feet etc. I’m only 58 5’2 (apparently lost a damn inch) & 235. My body since January is NOT HAVING IT!
Can’t wait until the day I never have to speak one word about my health. It’s the most boring subject on the planet . I have developed all kinds of co-morbidities!! My surgery was postponed for a week & as frustrated as I am. I understand that I have to be in the best position to have this surgery. I am just soo frustrated about the daily pain & I’m so eager to reset my life & begin again!! No one ever wants to live their life in this stupid pain. It physically & emotionally hurts so much because I don’t even want to leave the house.

So weird. I had constipation issues when they first did the RNY. And for the past 18months always maintaining the constipation thing...and now since they repaired the hernia/and untwisted my bowels, I'm having issues with the partial ileus stuff and Big D. I do ok for a few days now and then, boom baby! Howdoyoulikemenow?! LOL. Totally blew up Walmart's potty yesterday. *blush*

    😂 Yep!
Unexpected side effect of my weight loss, I feel like I can wear inexpensive outfits and look completely put together. When I was heavy I always felt sloppy, and only partially counteracted that by wearing clothes that were well made and expensive. Now I feel equally fab in an outfit that costs $25 or $250.

This is what I put on to go to the grocery store earlier today. It's actually a swimsuit coverup...but its the only tank-like summer dress I own that fits me at the moment (...and the "arm up" pose is to camouflage my batwing 😉... I should walk around with my arms up all day 😂 )

Could it be a gallbladder attack? Six weeks after my surgery I had that type of pain you are describing and it ended up being a gallbladder attack (which was brought on by my weight loss). Never had one before but went to the emergency department and they removed my gallbladder the next day.

It’s probably best to see your doctor because it sounds like it needs to be looked into further, but I hope you feel better soon!
