Unfortunately, I am still having trouble digesting lettuce so that doesn't work. I am just barely eating tiny bits without it totally making me feel sick. And no... I am not doing breads. That is why the thought of the meat and cheese sounds awful! I have had too much of it. And I agree with the rest. I am being very careful with my choices and when I do allow something, it is in VERY small amounts and I select foods that are not a "slippery slope" for me! Most of the time I am doing great.

And funny... after posting this another big conversation about lots of very yummy food occurred 5 feet away from me. I walked away from the area because I was in a bad place to hear the conversation about that very yummy food. I waited to go back to my desk when I knew they had returned to work. I sat down. And my stomach promptly started growling. A lot. LOL. Willpower is a challenge for me today! Going to have to make sure I have headphones and music when I return to work tomorrow. It apparently is a must where I sit!

Claire, I blame shows like My 600LB Life and Fat Doctor for these expectations. The average weight loss is 2-4lbs per WEEK. So you losing 11lbs per week is OUTSTANDING and something to shout about, not to be depressed about. ((hugs))
But I will tell you, that as you rapidly lose weight, the fat will give off some serious hormones that will lead you into and out of cyclical isolated spots of depression. But the important thing to know is that they usually pass. If you see your's are not passing, please contact your surgeon and RD and ask for Vitamin testing and also for a referral to a bariatric counselor?
I felt alternately joyful, depressed, angry, super energized, optimistic--the whole gamut of emotions. LOL. Then my fat liberated and the hormone storms dissipated.
And I only lost something like 12-14lbs the first month? I'm now at goal #3. I'm 131.4 today.

have someone take photos every month on your surgery date. There were times I couldn't see my progress, either, but when I compared photos from different months, yep - there it was. Clear as day!

Thanks you guys. I had a great surgery. I’m in very little pain and have been sipping Water and walking all evening. What I am confused about is the fact that I am HUNGRY!! Is that normal?

I drink original ripple milk EVERY day and I love it!
In the early days post OP, I'll use both ripple milk and Pescience shake powder to make a vegan shake and it tasted freaking good!!!!!
Pescience powders come in different flavors and I [emoji173] Cookies and cream!
The combination of the Ripple milk and the shake gives you about 32grams of Protein per shake. I would occasionally add Greek yogurt for a load of almost 35 to 40 grams in a go.

My thighs were smoothed out w the LBL alone. My surgeon was the only one I saw that could get those results without a thigh lift. I had low expectations that my inner thigh sag would be resolved. But I think it's going to turn out really well. 😁
