RoseKay91 reacted to angie_is_losing_it in Just not feeling good
So I was sleeved March 11. I had a really rough go the first two weeks but have felt better compared to then. But I still wake up every day feeling like crap. I don't sleep very well which may be contributing... also my inscisions are taking a long time to heal and they even were leaking a little pus which I'm not sure is normal at 3 weeks out. I find it very difficult to get all my fluids in. It just is so dang uncomfortable. Anyone else feeling blah??

Soft Proteins, yes.
I used my own recipe.
2 eggs
15oz part skim ricotta
1/4 cup grated parmesan
1tsp ground garlic
1tsp black pepper
Dash of basil
1tsp Italian seasoning
1tsp salt
Mix all these well.
Spoon 1 to 2 teaspoons into each spot on a mini muffin baking pan that you’ve sprayed with Pam.
Sprinkle a touch of reduced fat mozzarella on top of each.
Bake 20 minutes at 375.
I’m thinking of making a bariatric cooking/recipe blog. I love cooking and being inventive and really want to stay within my approved foods. So it may be neat!

Hey everyone!
So had my surgery today all is going well so far other then the discomfort of all the gas still in my body (just feels like I have to burp but I can’t) I’ve gotten up to walk a couple times so far to keep the blood moving. I have to stay at the hospital for night, unknown when I can get the scan to check to make sure there’s no leakage but it’s already 10pm so I assume it’ll wait until tomorrow. Quite annoying because all I can have is ice chips until then, Water isn’t allowed.
Onto the road to a brand new life!

you won't die on the table. Weight loss surgeries are among the safest surgeries out there - much safer than a knee replacement surgery, which as you know, they do every day. Gastric bypass has a 0.3% mortality rate - the sleeve is even lower. So at minimum, you have a 99.7% chance of NOT dying on the table. Given every surgery has some kind of mortality rate, even tonsillectomies, those are OUTSTANDING odds.
if you keep on top of your Vitamins, you won't die of malnutrition, either.
lastly, complications aren't very common, and for those who have them, most of them are minor.
I know it's easier said than done, but STOP worrying. You will do just fine and once you have all this behind you, you will be so happy you made this decision!!
