  2. A toss up between Dr corvala and Dr Ariel Ortiz. Both are very good. I like OCC as it is JCI accredited your thoughts are appreciated
  3. I spoke with them and they told me the $6700 Is after insurance. Otherwise cash price is $15000
  4. Being evaluated now and hopefully get schedule for May. Appreciate any comments on him. I see great reviews and as an R.N. I've gone a ton of research
  5. I won't get discouraged. I listened to a physician on YouTube saying that there is less saggy skin issues with a lower weight. I dont care about that. I just want these excess 40lb off.
  6. That's great. The less you have to lose. The slower it comes off. I'm having mine late may
  7. Wow that's a lot of weight lost. Don't get too skinny before your surgery. Lol. Good luck. So happy for u
  8. Thx. After lots of reading and research on Dr. Ortiz and Dr Corvala, I'm trying to Decide on who h one to use. Any thoughts
  9. How exciting. I'll be probably later in may. Good luck
  10. Just put in bmi calculator on Google and you put in your height, weight age ance it will calculate. Free. Did not use medical tourism. Read lots of posts and my own research. Now I'm looking at Dr Ariel Ortiz with Obesity control center . Excellent credentials. I just emailed him questions. Will call them tomorrow to ask more questions
  11. Aww that's my birthday
  12. One one hand I feel the sleeve is the right choice. I did hcg 4 years ago and lost 30# have kept it off which I'm thankful for, but it is a struggle
  13. With my bmi 32. I was going to be self pay so it isnt an insurance issue.I feel now after reading several comments, I will continue with weight watchers and hopefully lose 30. Thx so much
  14. I know. That is concerning to me about gerd. Some people its worse. Some say it's not a problem. I am beginning to think the sleeve is not for me at this time, with 30 to 35 # to lose. Isn't it ironic that this is one time in your life you wish you were heavier to meet the criteria. Thx for your comments
  15. Hell no. I'm 67 years old not concerned with my looks. I'm really wanting to be healthier. Sleep apnea, high cholesterol, gerd. I've been carrying this extra 30 to 40 # For years and tired of being tired. I understand liposuction is for contouring only. I just keep losing and gaining the same 20 lbs. I appreciate your comments thx
  16. Thank you for the info. I figured that there are a lot more success stories out there.. that helps me make a more informed decision. Sounds like you have done wonderful. I'm thinking about the liposuction because I have the Apple shape. All my weight is in my middle and bat wing arms. My legs and thighs are fine. You do lose 10 to 12# with liposuction so I figured I might be able to lose the other 30 on my own.
  17. I really need a perspective on whether or not to have s sleeve. Bmi is 32. Weigh 200. 5'6" have 40# to lose. Already approved. Now having second thoughts. Not because of short term issues like pain, nausea, tiredness. really concerned about success after 2 years. I hear so many people commenting on revisions. Weight gain, etc. I'm trying to lose with weight watchers. It's a toss up of the sleeve vs liposuction in my tummy area. And arms. For contouring. Any comments appreciated. Question. For sleevers out 2 years and more, would u do it all over again
  18. I just got approved by Dr Corvala in Tijuana. Probably last of may. Still have to schedule. Still a little nervous regarding possible complications. Leaks, gerd symptoms, nausea, so many people comment on those issues, I'm a nurse and bmi of 32. 40# to lose.
  19. The website doesn't say how many nights in the hospital or hotel after the procedure. Any comments are welcome. I plan to arrive the day before surgery.
  20. Not yet. Just got an email from Kim. I got approved. Probably last of may
