  1. Yes dr Ortiz and Obesity control center are awsome. I'm an RN and lots of research before my sleeve in may. JCI ACCREDITED. Center of excellence. 54 lb gone. No regrets. No issues. He's the best
  2. You'll be successful. I was surprised that it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Good luck
  3. My experience was much like yours. Dr Ariel Ortiz is a great surgeon. I've lost 52 lb since sleeved 5/21. 204 to 148
  4. I was sleeved may of this year. 50 lb gone. I can't say anything negative about OCC dr Ortiz is an excellent surgeon. No issues whatsoever. The Marriott is a great place to recover as well
  5. I was sleeved 5/21. By dr Ariel Ortiz. Wonderful facility. The visiting hrs didn't bother me or my husband. We both need rest. Absolutely no issues. I'm an RN and did lots of research. No problems with payment. Cashiers check no problems
  6. Not familiar with the 2 you mentioned. Good luck with your surgery
  7. I agree 100% with the other comment. I haven't gone to my pcp after surgery because I'm only 5 weeks out. They recommend labs in 7 to 8 months. I do t anticipate an issue. People have negative impressions of Mexico. When they don't even have the whole story. Dr Ariel Ortiz at OCC is wonderful. Can't say anything negative about the facility. I've heard good things about your Dr as well. My husband became more supportive after I explained the health aspects . Less knee pain, feeling better. Improved cholesterol, more energy. If u have blood pressure or diabetes it will improve.
  8. Never us did I feel worried. Relatively very safe procedure. I went to DR ARIEL ORTIZ at OCC. Top notch. I did a lot of research as an R.N. the facility is JCI accredited which is very important when choosing a facility I was sleeved May 21st. Absolutely no issues
  9. My nutritionist never discussed them. She recommends all natural, vitamins and minerals no artificial ingredients. Don't know why a nutritionist would do that
  10. I had excellent care at OCC. With Dr Ariel Ortiz. Obesity Control Center. JCI accredited. Tijuana. I'm an R. N. And did tons of research
  11. Same date . How are you doing. I'm feeling very full after protein shakes. But otherwise good
  12. So glad you're doing well. My sleeve was May 21st. Getting in my hydration and started on protein shakes today. Feeling fuller quicker than with clear liquids. Still gassy as well. But all is good. Good luck
  13. Sending healing thoughts to you
  14. I heard wonderful results . I'm an R.N and did lots of research I'm havi g my sleeve with Dr Ariel Ortiz at OCC
  15. My date is the 21st. Liquids pre op is not too bad.
  16. On my 2 wk liquid diet, I'm allowed 4 to 6 cups of green leafy vegetables plus 3 to 4 protein shakes. I chose Jay Robb as it is low in carbs and sugar and no artificial ingredients I can also have sugar free popsicles and jello. I m on my 2nd day and doing well
  17. My understanding is that the pre op diet helps to shrink your liver so it is not in the way when surgery is done. Either way it's not a bad idea to do it as it gets you in the mindset of drinking shakes and smaller portions
  18. Not nervous yet. I'm an R.N. so I have a good understanding of what to expect post op. I heard everyone at OCC is great. I'm sure we will all be fine
  19. Good luck with your surgery.
  20. Just got scheduled for May 21. Excited and glad to start my journey to better health!!
  21. I can't find your number. You left me. I got scheduled for May 21. Had a question about the vitaleph
  22. Aww. My birthday. Good luck
  23. Thx for the info. Good luck in your journey
  24. I did a lot of research on lots of docs. I'm an R.N. a most important aspect is the experience of the surgeon. Also, I wanted to be in a center or hospital that is JCI accredited. That means that that center achieved high standards of care. I am being evaluated by OCC and Dr Ariel Ortiz at OCC. For a sleeve. Dr Corvala at Angeles hospital is very good as well. Good luck Sent from my SM-J727V using BariatricPal mobile app
