Support from my Naturopathic Doctor
2weeks ago, I went to see my Naturopath, has successfully helped me with an number of health issues through diet ( ie. yeast infections, urinary tract infections, anxiety). I had not seen her since before my Gastric Bypass procedure in May 2019. When I weighed in with her, I was down to 253 from 302. My presenting concern was I feeling very muddled and disorganized in my daily living. After tearfully describing my struggles, my Naturopath immediately told me that she wants me to start the Keto diet. She encouraged to be mindful of the guidelines I was given at the Bariatric clinic and incorporate them into the diet plan that I was encouraged to follow. So far so good, I have not been exactly perfect, however the majority of the food I eat is Keto friendly. I feel really good about this lifestyle and follow up with my Naturopath tomorrow.

What can you tolerate and when
I had Gastric Band removed then RNY on May8/19 was exclusive to pureed on week 3 & 4 then started other soft foods....Chew chew chew chew chew....if you are vomiting then it's your body saying "we had enough" or "we are not ready" for that yet. It is early days so we need to be patient....I got excited about having eggs and meat .....boy was I mistaken .... Now I experiencing gallbladder issues....the dietitian and other support staff tell us to avoid over doing things like eating too much too soon or physical activities for a reason. I am reminded to be more patient with myself and ask for help when I feel any type of discomfort Please take care and best wishes [emoji120]

Pause from Menopause [emoji12]?[emoji849]
Had my Gastric bypass on May 8. Menopausal for almost 10 months. Then out of the blue....I see Red ? The physiological changes in my body are obvious....but was not expecting this. Have the headache and back pain with the menses...it is what it is, but I was kind of enjoying not having my monthly visit.

Surgeon told me to do exactly that -may shower day after surgery and remove band aids (not to let shower spray directly onto streri-strips) - steri-strips should be patted dry with a soft towel. Steri-strips will fall off in 5 to 6 days

caffeine withdrawl sucks
I take Dimenhydrinate with my Acetaminophen that helps with the nausea....sometimes a children's dose is helpful so I don't get too drowsy. The caffeine in Excedrin works like an anti-inflammatory because it is a diuretic. Cold pack on your head and neck while in a dark quiet room if possible. Good luck
