  1. Mickeemariee, i am going through the same thing right now. Was sleeve on 5/6 completely healthy other than being 235lbs. Kept feeling a pain on my side which was dismissed by “muscle pains” was doing okay until Sunday nausea vomiting yellow bile went to ER and CT showed portal venous thrombosis. Now on blood thinners anywhere from 6 months- a year. I see you have been on it since January how are you doing now? I’m so worried. I keep thinking what did i do to myself?

  7. Sorry, i know i am late! I had my surgery on 5/6! First couple days weren’t too bad! Prepare to stay more than one night in hospital because some doctors require it if you haven’t passed gas! Thankfully mine did not! Remember to walk walk walk after surgery! The gas pain is unreal! No one could have prepared me for it! So walk it out! Once i got home it was a little harder for me. For one i am a side sleeper. I am still laying on the couch bc i cannot lay flat or on a certain side. But i hear this gets better with time and everyone is different! I still struggle with getting the right amount of water and protein in! At first just the sight or smell of food made me want to throw up, but not i am hungry but it is still hard to get them down because i feel so full constantly! Also, the feeling of not pooping for 6 days is completely weird lol! I had to have the doctor order me some Miralax to help my process along quicker! Prayers for yall who are having surgery this month! It’s been rough but i know will be worth it!

  11. My surgeon also told me same thing. Day after surgery shower then take off bandages keep steristrips on until they fall off. I’m post op day 7 now and I’ve only had about 1 fall off.

  15. Oh i read it says either 4 or 8 so i did it with 4 ?
  16. I had my gastric sleeve on May 6. I am post op day 3/4 and i have yet to poop or fart. They told me if i didn’t have either that i would have to go back in the hospital. I’m attempting Miralax tonight in hopes i do go but since my surgery i have not kept the appropriate fluids down. I feel so full after one drop. Is this normal? I’m feeling a little pain in one incision which I’m assuming is the incision my stomach came out of and a little left shoulder pain. Any insight would be helpful please!
