During soft phase I was addicted to refried Beans with salsa on top. No need for cheese, I think. You don't need much else during that phase anyways as the beans will be filling and delicious.

I've eaten Taco Bell reftied Beans since week three. It's such a small amount that I don't think lowfat matters much. The beans are the Protein. Enjoy. You can always check with your team and your program.

I don't think so. Follow your doc's program. I'm 6 weeks out and just started walking more regularly and just started seeing regular loss. Your body is healing now and trying to figure out what happened. I couldn't walk at much as you do at 2 weeks. I get that we all want to blink and be at goal weight but it takes time. We didn't gain it all overnight.

You need to rest and sleep. You had major surgery. It takes a while to get the anesthesia out of your system. And you are taking in very few calories. I was exhausted for several weeks. I think it's totally normal. You have the rest of your life to walk. Be kind of yourself!

I’ve always been an open book and that certainly was the case with my surgery.. there have been a few naysayers and some great supporters. In the end I have never been one to be successful or enjoy keeping things secret.. it’s hard to keep up just like a lie and it kind of feels like lying.. I also feel that telling those around me now gave me the extra incentive to prove em all wrong . That accountability will help me I believe whole heartedly.. So, do I wish everyone thought I did it without surgery, sure, but I feel I can be an example of how surgery can work and I’m proud of my choice.. with this said , I TOTALLY understand anyone who chooses to keep it to themselves. In some way i wish I was more of a private person .. it is what it is!!!

It is so refreshing to hear your story because the process has been as positive for me as it has for you. We tend to not share when everything is going smoothly. The best of luck to you on this new exciting journey.

Call your doctor and get a more effective painkiller. I didn't feel any pain for the 3 days post up bc I took oxycodone as directed. Don't suffer if you don't have to.

Colorado Cowgirl reacted to Ohcinders in Starting the process of getting the sleeve
I am having the sleeve on June 3rd (right round the corner). I am 55 years old, 5'5", and my highest weight was 292. I currently weigh 275, so we are about the same. I honestly will tell you I am feeling fear at this point, with only days left of "life as I know it". I can also honestly tell you that I do NOT fear being thinner, healthier, and more in command of what I put into my body for nourishment. The honesty from me continues here ~~ I do NOT like wearing a size 24 pants, or a 2 XL shirt, or buying clothes that are not fashionable, and cost more. I do NOT like feeling like the "fat girl" in any room I walk in, although I have a very outgoing personality. I do NOT like feeling unattractive and I do believe first impressions count in this world we live in. So, in order to do this, I am going to conquer those fears, and embrace the "new me". I am also hypothyroid, and have been through menopause, and my primary care doctor has told me that I need to lose over 100 lbs., and this is my best option. He said only 2% of the population is able to lose that kind of weight on their own, and I know I am not in that 2%. So I am biting the bullet!! Feel free to follow my progress on here if you like ~~ and good luck to you

My thinking always is: if I am taking in 400 calories daily and burning 1800 a day that leaves a deficit of 1400 a day times 7 divided by 3500 calories a pound means we should lose about 3.5 lbs. a week. Maybe not every week but as an average. This works for everyone. It's science. Be patient. This formula works for every kind of dieting!
