  1. I was told Miralax in the morning and smooth move tea at night has been the most successful.
  2. Mine was also on the 3rd and was hungry so late 1/2 cup of creamy tomato soup instead of 1/4 cup. I still need to learn how to slow this down to 20 to 30 minutes as not much volume there to begin with.
  3. Thank you, will look into that!
  4. Well it's a good thing I had this done as apparently they found stage 4 cirrhosis due to fatty liver. It is still functioning but because of scarring it gets cut off of blood supply. Losing weight will help. Surgeon cut off fat from it. Not a good diagnosis. Thinking about taking castor oil which helps deplete scar tissue but at the same time I need scar tissue to mend stomach. Scary stuff!
  5. 4 days out and major constipation. Was worried about blowing something with all the straining and pushing. But this has definitely been the most painful part.
  6. Had VSG on wednesday and 3 days later gained 5 lbs. Agggh!
  7. Yes get anti nausea meds throughout the day.
  8. I had surgery yesterday. Nausea everytime tried to drink or walk. Right rib cage and right shoulder really hurt. Though incisions didn't bother me much. But the tender core muscles was hard.
  9. Going in for Gastic Sleeve in the morning. I would appreciate any prayers. Thanks!
  10. I didn't need to do that with Kaiser. Each insurance is different.
  11. My center wants me to continue with shakes until midnight the day before surgery. They recently changed the rules from the clear liquid diet.
  12. I am also scheduled for the 3rd. Ditto on everything you said. Blessings to you!!!
  13. It is but the more weight I lose now the easier it will be to get to my goal. Since no matter what I did and couldn't get below 292 I am elated I am now 279.
  14. I was a little frustrated with a weight loss stall in the last few days but then saw some progress today. Have lost 13 lbs so far and have 6 days left to lose more before surgery. My goal is 20 lbs before surgery!
  15. I have survived week 1 of the pre OP diet and 1 week to go. I have lost 10 lbs but stalled the last 2 days. I was hoping to lose more weight and go into this with a bang. Still hoping!
  16. I have suffered from acid reflux in the past but found a cure for it. My problem seemed to come from tomato sauce. I spoke to an Italian friend and she told me that her mom would put baking soda in her pasta to neutralize the acid. I tried it and it worked! No more acid reflux! When my brother used to get acid reflux he used to drink baking soda in water and it made it go away. So Baking Soda can really help with this. Also Deglycerized Licorice or DGL found in any health food store really helps as well.
  17. I am super obese. Had a hip replacement. Currently need to have a total knee replacement and have tendonitis in both feet due to bone spurs. Not to mention back issues. My insurance paid for water therapy. At the end they gave me a whole work out routine. So I do that about 3 times a week. Often times I will also stay for the water aerobics class. You just do what you can to keep up. But it has helped with some of my issues and have lost weight. The goal is to keep moving even when you don't feel like it.
  18. Me too although they already put me on the 2 week pre OP diet which sucks btw.
  19. Me as mine is April 3. Last Wednesday got a call they had unexpected opening so had to start pre OP diet at that moment.
