    Stricture

I am 5 weeks post op, and am in phase 2 of my eating schedule (soups with small chunks primarily). I was doing fine until yesterday. Last night my food got stuck in my throat. I had to use the “two finger method” several times over the course of an hour to resolve it. The same thing happened after breakfast (watery grits) and lunch (cottage cheese) today. I called my doctor and was told I probably have a stricture. If so, he told me I will need an endoscopy and a balloon stretch to open the stricture. After the current blockage passes, he told me to try to see if pre-op liquids would pass. If so, he will schedule the procedure next week. If not, I will need to go in tonight to avoid dehydration. Has anyone else dealt with this?
  2. I saw on a YouTube video someone saying they included Bang Keto coffee in their post-surgery diet. I’m unfamiliar with this product. Does anyone else include it in their daily eating plan?

    Feeling cold

Thanks for the feedback. I hope it eventually goes away.
  4. I had sleeve to by-pass surgery two weeks ago today. Although I feel good overall, I’m extremely cold most of the time. Has anyone else experienced this? Does it go away?
  5. I had sleeve to by-pass surgery two weeks ago today, as well as repairing a hiatal hernia. My doctor told me that, without the by-pass, the hernia would reappear, possibly within 6 months. It’s been wonderful to wake up each day without all of the problems related to the hernia. The weight loss is a happy side benefit!
  6. I had revision surgery 10 days ago to resolve my problems with GERD. My surgeon said that, without converting from the sleeve to by-pass, my hiatal hernia would return within 6 months. Despite the adjustments required for the by-pass, it’s been wonderful waking up each day without feeling that I have a bonfire burning inside me!
  7. I had surgery 2 days ago, which went better than expected. Mine was done primarily for GERD, but also because my weight was going up. My weight when I left for the hospital on Monday was 254. When I got on the scale this morning it was 264! I know this is all due to fluids taken at the hospital, but I was still surprised by how much! Any thought on how long it will take to lose this?
