  1. That flavor sounds amazing. I haven't found premier caramel flavor yet. My Costco only has Vanilla, Chocolate, and Peaches and Cream.
  2. Agreed. I'm drinking so much liquid to mask my hunger, I'm in the bathroom all the time. ???
  3. Fingers crossed that this does the trick.
  4. Nope. I figured if I have to only drink decaf, I was going to buy the best tasting, fancy decaf I could get. This process has really affirmed for me that if I'm going to spend the few bits of food real estate I have on something, then I'm not wasting it on something that tastes crappy. I surveyed some of my coffee-snob friends and went from there. [emoji6]
  5. More testing! Grrr. The hospital called this afternoon to inform me that I need more pre-op testing. (Blood tests, ekg, chest Xray, etc.) I told them I did all of that already and was told those tests were for insurance approval; these are pre-op tests. So I'll be spending Saturday in the hospital, trying to get these tests done in one shot. After 6 months of jumping through hoops and a million co-pays later, I'm over it. Sorry for the vent. I'm just tired.
  6. Sending you mad love, Frustr8. Sorry it's been a rough go of it. You've made so much progress -- be proud! I hope this summer brings you good health. [emoji175]
  7. Mine is two days after. Congratulations!
  8. I need to get jello yet, but I'd add beef and chicken broth. I bought decaf coffee, herbal tea and crystal light. I also picked up some small containers, a new lunchbox for going back to work, and several shot-glass sized measuring cups.
  9. You look fantastic! I'm two weeks until surgery, so this gives me lots of hope. Congratulations!
  10. I start my pre-OP diet on Friday. So it's liquids all day and a very small meal at night. I can have three ounces of chicken and one cup of vegetables for dinner. No fruit. I'm making a Costco run tomorrow for soup. I'm pretty stocked on the shakes. I did order a bunch of sugar free Torani syrups on Amazon.
  11. Hi Michelle! I hear you on the back and leg problems. I fall often and have had surgery on my L4/L5 for a herniated disc. Because of the nerve damage I have very limited feeling in my legs and feet. Completely agree, it makes exercising super difficult. I'm hoping the sleeve will give me the boost I need -- losing weight should help bring my balance back and make me more mobile. Solidarity!!
  12. Sorry about the job, James. Being laid off sucks. Hang in there!
  13. My nutritionist said something similar. I guess quite a few people bail the month before. I do have to admit, I want to get it over with before I psych myself out.
  14. Does anyone have an app they recommend for digital body scanning/measurements? I had been using ZOZO, but they just went under. I don't trust myself to do it the old-school way with a tape measure.
  15. Thank you, Frustr8! I needed that. And you are absolutely right, it's been so many appointments, tests, tracking, hard work, etc. to get to this point. Hats off to everyone for where we're at in the journey to get to June!
  16. Today was my last pre-op appointment with the surgeon. James, what you said really resonates -- I'm not backing out, but now that it's so close, I'm nervous. Such a huge lifestyle change. And I'll be pissed if I don't make my goal. I want the outcome to be worth the effort.
  17. I'm so excited for you! Let us know the date when you get it. Insurance annoys me, so I'm not shocked at all that they screwed it up. ???
  18. Glad you found a decaf you vouch for. I'm so ordering this!
  19. Me! I splurged a little on Mother's Day and have had a few little "food farewells" over the last two weeks. It's hard to say goodbye!
  20. Purpledva! I'm having mine a few days after on the 7th. My husband is originally from Midlothian, so I've spent some quality time down by you.
  21. Wow! You're family is all-in! I kinda love that you're doing it together. BTW,I'm originally from Milwaukee.
  22. They just submitted on Friday, but that's I great idea to watch for it on the app. Good idea! Hopefully BCBS will come through as fast! [emoji256]
