  1. Just followed you! My Instagram is batty2000. I haven't posted much but plan to once I have more to share. Lol
  2. I had my last pre-op appointment this morning. It all feels very surreal. I will start the liquid diet on May 24. Onward and upward to June 7!
  3. I'm tentatively scheduled for June 7. I have one more nutritionist appointment before they submit to insurance next week. Hoping for good news.
  4. Totally get it. I work in the Loop, but live in Oak Park. I saw your other post of BCBSIL. I'll let you know. I believe they are submitting for me early next week. They told me to plan for 2 to 4 weeks, but they are overly cautious about setting expectations.
  5. I don't suppose with a name like CubyBlue that you're in the Chicago area? I am! Hello!
  6. Same. I've been tracking with myfitnesspal, but am wondering if baritastic is better...
  7. We're going over the diet in a few days, but I believe it's the same -- two weeks, mostly clear liquids. I think I can have protein shakes, but otherwise it's just broth and crystal light. LOL
  8. Ouch! Nearly a year is a long time to be in limbo. My doctor really cheerleader this decision. I'm hoping to get officially approved while I have the momentum going. I hope to get the sleeve.
  9. *I love the Pumpkins, so I was stoked to see your username.
  10. Hi Kassandra! My name is Beth, I am 41 years old, married with one fabulous daughter and two awesome Beagles. I'm 5'6" and my current weight is 265 lbs. I started this journey in December when I was diagnosed with NAFLD and weighed 296 lbs. I'm fairly lucky to not have additional comorbidities, but a series of bad falls resulting in ankle injuries and surgery for a herniated disc have been my wakeup call. My doctor says I'm too young to be this disabled. I tend to agree. I just finished my approval checklist on Friday and have a tentative date of June 7 for a VSG. Come on, BCBS, make it happen!
