  1. Measurements, I need to do that! As depressing as the numbers may be at least I will see them reduce! Thanks.
  2. After all my worry, it was not bad! i did walk as soon as I could and laid with m head elevated.
  3. I am getting there! No regrets yet. i just started walking the treadmill (sadly at an icredibly slow pace). itis more than I was doing before and I Know i Will get more fit. Cheers to slow thin meals. We got this Gabybab!
  4. It iseasy to focus on the scale. we all want to lose weight and see scale progress. Going to try to stay off the scale the rest of the week. i am afraid that I will have unrealistic expectations ! Try not to doom yourself already. We have a long journey ahead of us.
  5. Gabybab you just Scared me! That doesnot sound fun. I havenot Had that experience Yet and would like to avoid it(i know probably not realistic). Hopefully, you can isolAte the culprit/cause. otHer than your recent scare, how are you feeling one week post sugery?
  6. Congratulations!
  7. Scale confession, I stepped in the scale before my two week check in. I know I should not have done it but the scale was right there just taunting me....
  8. I am suffering from a serious case of pantry envy!
  9. That is truly impressive. You look awesome. Thanks for the inspiration.
  10. Thank you so much...I truly appreciate that!!! My appointment was very helpful. Turns out there is sludge in my gall bladder and they feel that is what caused the ulcer. So my gastroenterologist is sending me to a surgeon and has suggested that my gall bladder be removed. So glad to read that they are working on a solution. Surgery us not ever fun but I hope that it provides you with peace and the ability to enjoy your life and all of your hard work. Will continue to pray for your healing. Please keep us updated .
  11. My doctors office said not to step on the scale until the two week follow up. In my case I am sitting in their office right now getting fluids. I can’t seem to drink enough so they are tellingmegive my body some time to adjust and then I will start losing weight. I totally understand after a major surgery, you want the scale to show weight loss. I am not weighing myself to avoid disappointment. They say the weight loss picks up. Fingers crossed.
  12. Please know I have been thinking of and praying for you. I hope your gastroenterologist visit is helpful quickly.
  13. Thank you.i will try the protein powder. I Appreciate the Encouragement,

  15. I am trying to drink Crystal light vs water. So far.... not any easier. Th nurse called, my surery was the 25th and told me I had to get in protein along with water! It feels daunting.

  17. Congratulations! That is so awesome.
  18. Thanks for the heads up on fluids I am not stepping on the scale until my two week check in. No need to disappoint myself.
  19. So far, i am just struggling to drink but not in too much pain. I am pretty tired. I hope that everyone starts feeling better.
  20. I got to drink 100% grape juice!!! I had the same enhanced recovery and had to drink a Gatorade type drink the morning of surgery along with a nausea medicine.
  21. Congratulations. We do have this! Really strange to read the different protocols. I have to be able to hold down 90 cc’s of water and 60 cc’s (bout 4 teaspoons ) of protein prior to being released. Kinda NDA worried.
  22. Did anyone else wake up from surgery and think Oh my goodness, I actually just had surgery ? For a moment I was chastising myself for not being able to lose the weight without resorting to surgery. Reading all these post reminded me, this is a very effective tool. However, I still have to work to lose it and maintain the weight loss. Thanks everyone.
  23. Now I read your post LOL. I was really tired.
