  1. Thank you. You are funny Gaby. How are you doing?
  2. Thank you. You look so good. I am going to try to take the OOTD pictures.we do forget to celebrate how far we have come. Funny thing, I always offer to take the picture too! Hopefully soon,we will all allow ourselves the opportunity to shine
  3. Thank you, can’t wait to make it to goal for both of us!
  4. Thanks, I am trying. Everyone’s comments on here make it easier. We rock!
  5. So I am finally posting the before and during pictures. Can’t wait to post the after. The first picture of my husband and me was taken in April of 2018 and helped me to confirm I NEEDED help. The second picture was taken this past Sunday at a play. Also , NSV Fit in the seat comfortably. Also, please pretend my eyes are open.
  6. The first picture was about a year ego, I got heavier but allowed no more pics! Th last picture was taken Sunday. My eyes are closed and I still need to lose 40 pounds but I am getting there
  7. Whoop whoop congrats that is amazing .
  8. OMG, on Thursday I had all sorts of issues and I just realized I added sweet and low to a coffee. I bet it was the artificial sweetener. Course it could have been the coffee. That was only me second cup since surgery. Funny, I did not think about it until I read your post.
  9. So, your husbands employer basically has 44 days to get the paperwork out( 30 to notify insurance or the benefits administrator and 14 to mail it to you. If it has been longer than that reach out to the employer. It would be a violation of the COBRA regs. No employer wants to mess with the DOL on this issue. As far as paying and submitting receipts. If you can avoid it , I would. First, the insurance company is not authorizing whatever it is you are paying for. There is always a possibility that they deny it. Unless it is a routine doctor visit that is normally subject to a copay. The other concern is that insurance companies negotiate reimbursement rates with doctors. That rate is typically less than what the doctors office charges a cash paying person (unless the office is willing to provide a discount. You may run the risk of submitting a receipt for $200 and being reimbursed at$65 or some other low number. As far as dental, that is also eligible for COBRA coverage(vision too). I only have one caution, the cost of COBRA coverage can be quite a shock. As an employee your company typically contributes more than 5O% of the cost (obviously the employer contribution varies by company and the level of coverage I.e. employee only, family etc). With COBRA you pay the full premium plus 2% for administration. Hoping yours is not too expensive.
  10. I wish you happiness with whatever you decide to do in your marriage. I would suggest you check into the cost of COBRA coverage if that is something you can Afford right now. it would continue your existing coverage and since you already met your deductible that is huge. Another option since your income has been reduced is to consider the ACA exchanges you might qualify for mostly subsidized coverage. Good luck and if you have any questions about coverage an options you can email me. I have manages benefits for various companies for over 20 years. I would be glad to help.
  11. Size ten. That is my goal size so I can fit my “cute” clothes. congrats...you look great
  12. You look great! Isn’t it crazy to think six months ago the jacket that is too big actually fit? Great job
  13. I had the same problem with the ursodial, I got so nauseous I had to get an infusion to snap back. I have not taken it since. Hoping my gall bladder can hang in there. Also, @Sheribear68 I am trying the intermittent fasting 16/8 . Thanks for the suggestion. I will report back on how it goes. Like everyone else, the six month point (and a little before that to be honest), the stall happened. Do we ever get out of the stall or is it just a lot harder from now on?
  14. About calories thanks @azhiker and @sherribear I think I will try alternating the calorie intake
  15. I am amazed at how good the posted pictures look. I do not quite have the nerve to post a full body picture yet but I am getting there. @Sherribear you do not have a saggy wrinkly neck. @Everythinganna you look awesome and so much younger than your posted picture. Great job everyone. I went a little early for my six month check in and my doctor is telling me I need to eat around 1,200 to 1,400 calories. It makes me nervous, I feel like I will not lose anything. Right now, I am usually between 600 to 800 calories a day and I try to get 16,000 steps a day. How many calories is the group averaging a day?
  16. @sherribear, you look so good! Cute pants too.
  17. Fantastic job sherribear. 51 is going to be fabulous for you!
  18. CONGRATULATIONS, that must feel awesome!
  19. So proud of you Gaby! Can you believe how far this group has come? I remember reading post of groups that were six months out and thinking, I hope I will be like that. Now here we are ... not quite six months but really successful. I did have a NSV...I went to see my hair stylist and she did not recognize me at first. c-r-a-z-y. The last time that happened to me, it was because I had gained so much weight. This time when it happened I was happy as opposed to beating myself up for letting myself get that size. So proud of us!
  20. I am in a stall too! I think I need to weigh everything. I suspect my problem is grazing. I really want to throw a straight temper tantrum cause I still need to lose 70 pounds. No time for stalls??. good luck with the final 20 pounds.
  21. I totally understand. I have to fly in August. I will not need to carry me seatbelt extender but unfortunately, I will still over into another seat! So hoping they have some cheap upgrades available. I can’t till I can fly without that concern! I can’t wait to hear about the flight and congrats!
  22. So happy for you! Did you want to just jump up and down and say.”yep tiny like me, that’s right?”.
