  1. Great idea! I gotta try this! Tell me how it turns out
  2. They taste better nice and cold! I’m going to try putting them in the freezer. I tend not to eat much on the weekend even when I’m hungry (I sorta forget) but these will be great on those days. Such an easy way to get protein in! And definitely worth the money!
  3. @JAKE H so I ended up buying the fairlife protein shakes and they are delicious! Thank you so much for the recommendation! They don’t taste like any of the ones I’ve tried before. So far I’ve had a sip from each just to try but I plan on having a whole one tomorrow and I’ll see if I get a reaction from them since other protein shakes make me throw up. Thanks again!!!
  4. Pastelito for breakfast. I thought I chose beef but it was ham and cheese. Just ate the inside Happy Valentines Day!
  5. Oh noooo!! ??? Soup looks amazing! I love Chinese broccoli. I could eat it everyday all day and without anything else.
  6. Bf took me to get tacos to try to get me to eat a little more. Hope no one gets grossed out, these are beef tongue (my favorite) Ate just the meat and ditched the tortillas. Not as satisfying but still good!
  7. What an amazing story! I haven't read too many success stories with the band. Im glad you were able to find a doc willing to do the surgery AND a man confident enough to be with you! Let us know how your appointment went!
  8. How am I just seeing this thread now!? Im loving all these viewssss ❤️
  9. 49 yearsss?! wow thats a long time. Good for you! I know some people just enjoy it more. I usually make everything from scratch anyways but I feel like being a vegetarian helps keep the cals down. Something to potentially look into again...
  10. @FluffyChix Ill take a pic once I make it! I have everything in the fridge except the yogurt.
  11. Oooo this sounds good! I’ll give it a try! Thanks! ??
  12. Ive been drinking regular milk pre and post op almost every day and Ive been fine... lol im really wondering what it could be though. Ive read other people experiencing the same issue.
  13. I don't think its bored but maybe I could use a change. Ironically last night I was watching YouTube videos about the vegan diet. A couple years ago I was a vegetarian but it only lasted a year before I caved. How long have you been vegan? Has it been tough after wls?
  14. I tried diluting the waters too but it doesn't help..... well it helps the taste but it still makes me sick. There must be something in these protein drinks that my body is rejecting. I havent tried diluting the milks or baking the protein so Im still willing to give that a shot IF I continue to go on an eating strike. I have no problem consuming something I don't like if its beneficial to me. Heck, Ill force whatever it is down if my health is at risk but theres no point forcing something down when my body continues to reject it. But like you, Im a full believer in changing ones mindset! Thanks for the reminder
  15. Yes I’ve tried that one and this one too:
  16. I’ve tried protein water as well and it’s worse. Tastes like medicine to me. I’ll try mixing a milk one with coffee and see if that does it but I think no matter how I cover up the taste I will still throw it up because they just all make me feel so sick.
  17. I’ve tried Atkins, Premiere Protein, Breakfast Essentials, Genepro, Muscle Milk, Orgain, Owyn, Proti, and a few other whey powders. I can’t tolerate any of them. I went through this whole process without drinking protein shakes. Pre op I chugged them because I wasn’t crazy about the taste but I didn’t think they were that bad. Post op I couldn’t even drink them, I threw up and gaged just looking at them. Idk what happened. I drink plain fairlife milk but never tried the power shakes. I’m willing to give it a shot. Is it super sweet? I tried the chocolate milk (not protein shake) and it was too sweet for my taste.
  18. @catwoman7 5 months!? Wow! When did your hunger come back? I wonder how long this will last for me. Post op after month 3 I started to experience hunger, some days hungrier than others. Now it just went away out of the nowhere.
  19. @MsMocie That’s horrible so far I don’t have problems with taste but in the beginning I did. I couldn’t drink bottled water, only filtered, and certain foods, even the smell made me gag. That’s gone away but maybe you’re right. I’ll make an appointment with my GP and see if tests are needed. I’ll look into that juice too! I haven’t had an issue with liquid. Thanks!
  20. Thanks! Never knew that was a side effect of being in ketosis. I’m getting around 15-20 g of carbs a day so that could be it. I don’t mind not eating much it’s just the forcing myself thing that bothers me and the fact that I’m not getting much protein in. I think it would be easier to just no eat lol @FluffyChix @AJ Tylo I’m glad to know it’s normal though. The problem is that I’m experiencing slower weight loss because I’m not eating. My body is thinking I’m starving it... and I guess I am.
  21. Hi everyone! So I'm not sure whats going on but for the past few weeks I haven't been hungry. Some would say that's great because its preventing me from over eating but the reality is I've been under eating. I've lost my appetite completely and I've been getting in 200-350 calories a day. I'm not sure what to do at this point. I'll have a few bites of my food then I'm done for the day and I don't want anything else. Yesterday and Sunday I had to force myself to eat something even though I really didn't want to and if I didn't force myself, I would have ended the day with 224 calories and 15 g of protein. I've been trying to eat foods higher in calories so that my macros are higher but so far that's my only solution. I cant do the protein shakes because I throw up every time I have one. I don't know what happened. Before this, I was eating without a problem. Every meal is forcing myself to eat and its really driving me nuts. On the weekends its worse because I'm always so busy I forget to eat. Because I'm not eating how I should my weight loss is slowing down. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a phase? I just hit 6 months so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it?
  22. Hi everyone! Id love to hear how everyone is doing and holding up, whether it be with weight loss or just anything really. Has anyone experienced any kind of struggles with losing weight? Here are my stats: As of today I am 6 months 5 days post op and weight 270 lbs. Pre op I weighed 375. It feels so good to be down 105 lbs in a little over 6 months. I heard the weight loss slows down once you hit 6 months so I'm hoping I can at least get to 200 lbs by the end of 2020. Fingers crossed!
  23. Hi @Nic C! Congrats on making it under 300! I hope you're doing much better. Its crazy your lowest recorded weight was a decade ago. I love reading accomplishments like this Are you still stalling or have you been able to lose consistently. I just hit a small stall.
  24. Thanks for the tip! I’ve always wanted to eat at Katz! That thing is huge lol
  25. Lunch today: Steak “stew” is the best way I can describe It. I call it lomo. It has onions, tomatoes, and jalapeños. Zero oil You can’t really tell the difference between the before and after. I took a few bites and ended up getting full fast.
