GradyCat got a reaction from TravMac in Struggling with support system at home.
You have to be honest with the psych eval and people trying to care for you. I once heard a saying that people can't "drive" you crazy unless you give them the keys. Are you letting people sabotage you? Stand up for yourself, this is about gaining back control over yourself and your food issues.

GradyCat got a reaction from Frustr8 in Switching Surgeons
Sometimes we have to put up with a little less efficient of an office staff to get the perfect surgeon or doctor. If so, hang in there, if not, keep your options open and you'll be able to get copies of all of your medical records for the new doctor.

GradyCat got a reaction from Frustr8 in Weight loss pre-surgery
I lost below 40 BMI but I had comorbidities so I didn't worry as long as I didn't go under 35 BMI

GradyCat got a reaction from Boldilocks in Understanding the stall
I don't get it either. I'm eating the right number of calories, exercising, getting in Protein, drinking Water and nothing's happening.

GradyCat reacted to Alex Brecher in Favorite water bottle?
I've used this one for a few weeks and really like that it doesn't smell, doesn't leak, doesn't sweat as much as my aluminum bottles, it's easy to clean and doesn't get dinged up every time I drop it. It also fits into my car's cup holder which is a big plus.

I like my 20 oz Tervis Water Bottle. Very durable. Can sip out of it without using a straw.

GradyCat got a reaction from ProudGrammy in Stalled at almost 7 months
Stalls happen. It sounds like you're not in a stall though, you're eating/drinking sugary things that are high in calories. Go back to counting your calories and tracking everything you eat. Focus on Protein.

GradyCat got a reaction from okayestmom in Hunger at Night
I used to keep Cookies on my nightstand and eat them in the middle of the night before I had the surgery. But of course I don't do that anymore now and I haven't felt hungry at 2 am. It might help if you eat more Protein during the day to fill you up so you won't be hungry at night.

GradyCat got a reaction from Krimsonbutterflies in Pre surgery fears
Surgery is just a tool and won't help you with the head hunger or choosing wrong foods to eat or night eating. Have you thought about going to the group therapy classes offered by your surgeon's office? The head hunger is more of a battle than physical hunger.

GradyCat got a reaction from laura071693 in Exercise
After a couple of weeks you're clear to work out as much as you want, and you should, except for lifting more than 10 pounds you should wait 4-6 weeks. Sure, your friend might be thinking of gaining muscle, but that's a GOOD gain and you'll want to be fit and burn calories, so exercise is important.

GradyCat got a reaction from rs in Underwear?
I hadn't thought of this yet. I wear the Lane Bryant (Cacique) full cut underwear and mine are getting a little baggy now.
