  1. No, not really. But I do sleep better ever since I got a "weighted blanket" to sleep with. It's like someone hugging you all night and very comforting.
  2. I didn't know where was such a thing. Never heard that term. No clue.
  3. Wishing you the best. Good luck on your WLS journey.
  4. No, just sometimes "the foamies" if I eat something doughy like bread or a tortilla
  5. Sip, sip, sip slowly.
  6. @FluffyChix So sorry to hear this, but you're responding to it like your wonderful sense-of-humor self and I'm so glad you're okay. Take care.
  7. Me too. I need to learn to slow down. I guess I'm going to have to count my chews and lay my fork down between each bite.
  8. No, I haven't noticed this. You might want to mention it to your doctor.
  9. I was convinced I wanted a bypass to get the "best results possible" based on percentages and lose the most weight, but after talking to my therapist and another one of my doctors, they both recommended the sleeve instead and I had it, no complications, it worked, and I'm very pleased with it.
  10. Hooray! Fantastic! Way to go! Good job!
  11. I didn't have any driving restrictions, but then again I never took any pain pills. I had no trouble.
  12. Absolutely normal. Weight is never a "stable" thing but fluctuates depending on your bowel movements, water intake, sodium intake, etc. I wouldn't worry.
  13. Thank you, that sounds encouraging. I started Sunday and this morning I'm already down 4.5 pounds.
  14. I'm a HUGE, HUGE, HUGE University of Kentucky fan! I live in Louisville, KY. My husband played football for UK. I'm a basketball fanatic.
  15. Thank you. I'm down 4.5 pounds in 4 days.
  16. No troubles yet, but it's only Day #4, so we shall see.
  17. I was eating around 800/calories a day but my weight loss has stopped, so I'm trying something new by increasing the calories. Yesterday I had 1350. I might hit 1200 today. We'll see how it goes. I'm 7 months post-op.

According to the BMI chart, 118-159 is the range.
  19. My husband is diabetic and has chronic pain, so he did a lot of research and decided he wanted to try "The Carnivore Diet" to reduce his A1C/sugar and also reduce his chronic inflammation. He's been very supportive of my WLS and efforts, so I wanted to support him too, so I'm doing it with him. I started Sunday, he started yesterday. I'd been in a stall or had somehow ended up in maintenance for the last two months, so I'm willing to try ANYTHING to get the weight loss moving again. I've already lost 3 pounds in 2 days, so that's a good start. I was shocked because I had double the usual number of calories yesterday (1350 instead of 775) but maybe my body was in starvation mode and I needed to up the calories to lose weight. The "Carnivore" Diet is very similar to Atkins or Keto, but you basically just eat meat and drink water. It's a zero carb diet. Now I know that the ultimate answer is "all things in moderation," but I think that for the short-term, like 30 or 60 days, I can do this, maybe lose some weight, support my husband and get healthier.
