  1. I would not change having my band for the world. It has honestly changed my world. No the weight does not fall off, but I did not do something that can never be undone. I am doing everything I should, for the most part, and I am losing weight at a decent pace. It is a personal choice and it takes hard work. I have no regrets.
  2. I was banded Sept 28 by Dr Symmonds, Temple Tx and so far I have lost 57 pounds and really hoping to make it to 199 by April! I am working my butt off, literally and it is finally showing. Hello everyone! We are entering month 4 of our journey and I hope you all have wonderful success with your bands.
  3. I think it is just your body adapting to the reduction of fat. I stay cold now too. I believe it could also do with your iron lvl.
  4. I am also in Killeen, Dr. Symmonds did my band one Sept 24th. I love S&W and the whole team. They are so very understand and kind. I have had two fills, could not get the third cause number 2 was my lucky number. Have gone from a 24 to an 18 and everyday getting closer to my 50 pound mark. Hello all you Killeen Ladies!
  5. Why do I feel like I am going through withdraws not being able to talk to my girls!!! EEEK!
  6. OK. Here is how it works with Dr Symmonds and Tricare. You have been approved to SEE him. On the 15th they do their medical history eval. Then that is sent to tricare for the final approval. You are actually almost to the end of this. Once you do this, within 5 business days you should have your approval and surgery date. Jeremy is very on the ball, he will get with you as soon as they have the OK with tricare. Then Denise will call you about your pre op. You also will have a lifestyle change with Paulette before surgery.
  7. Hi hi welcome. I am also in Texas, there are actually alot of us here from the area, I am in central, Killeen, aka The Hood (Ha. Because of Fort Hood) I was banded two weeks ago tomorrow and it is a great thing.

Eh they are not great but hey they are pics...
  9. Well, you have to go through several steps. Have you been to a meeting yet?
  10. Hi, I am just days away from being banded and I am using Dr. Symmonds from Scott & White in Temple Texas. If you are in the Central Texas Area then this is the doctor I would suggest. He is a kind man, his staff is very helpful and nice. He is a VERY busy doctor I will give you that, it took me a bit to get all my appointments, but now I am down to the wire, so I am pleased. I have heard nothing but wonderful things about this Doctor, and I will write more once I am branded. If you have any questions about him or tricare, ask away...I have been dealing with both since May.
  11. Looks like alot of us TX ppl, I am getting banded in Temple soon just no actual date yet! Good luck with your journey!
  12. My Doc said you can drink, but remember that there is an ungodly amount of fat in it!
